Surah Ghafir/Momin Ayat/verse 5 with Urdu & English Translation - 40:5

كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوۡحٍ وَّ الۡاَحۡزَابُ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ وَهَمَّتۡ كُلُّ اُمَّةٍۢ بِرَسُوۡلِهِمۡ لِيَاۡخُذُوۡهُؕ وَجَادَلُوۡا بِالۡبَاطِلِ لِيُدۡحِضُوۡا بِهِ الۡحَقَّ فَاَخَذۡتُهُمۡ  فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ‏﴿۵﴾

ان سے پہلے نوح Ú©ÛŒ قوم اور ان Ú©Û’ بعد اور اُمتوں Ù†Û’ بھی (پیغمبروں Ú©ÛŒ) تکذیب کی۔ اور ہر اُمت Ù†Û’ اپنے پیغمبر Ú©Û’ بارے میں یہی قصد کیا کہ اس Ú©Ùˆ Ù¾Ú©Ú‘ لیں اور بیہودہ (شہبات سے) جھگڑتے رہے کہ اس سے حق Ú©Ùˆ زائل کردیں تو میں Ù†Û’ ان Ú©Ùˆ Ù¾Ú©Ú‘ لیا (سو دیکھ لو) میرا عذاب کیسا ہوا﴿۵﴾

The folk of Noah and the factions after them denied (their messengers) before these, and every nation purposed to seize their messenger and argued falsely, (thinking) thereby to refute the Truth. Then I seized them, and how (awful) was My punishment.﴾5﴿
