Surah Al-A'raf Ayat/verse 176 with Urdu & English Translation - 7:176

ÙˆÙŽÙ„ÙŽÙˆÛ¡ شِئۡنَا لَرَفَعۡنٰهُ بِهَا وَلٰـكِنَّهٗۤ اَخۡلَدَ اِلَى الۡاَرۡضِ وَاتَّبَعَ هٰوٮهُ‌ۚ فَمَثَلُهٗ كَمَثَلِ الۡـكَلۡبِ‌ۚ اِنۡ تَحۡمِلۡ عَلَيۡهِ ÙŠÙŽÙ„Û¡Ù‡ÙŽØ«Û¡ اَوۡ تَتۡرُكۡهُ يَلۡهَث‌ؕ ذٰلِكَ مَثَلُ الۡقَوۡمِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا‌ۚ فَاقۡصُصِ الۡقَصَصَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ‏﴿۱۷۶﴾

اور اگر ہم چاہتے تو ان آیتوں سے اس (Ú©Û’ درجے) Ú©Ùˆ بلند کر دیتے مگر وہ تو پستی Ú©ÛŒ طرف مائل ہوگیا اور اپنی خواہش Ú©Û’ پیچھے Ú†Ù„ پڑا۔ تو اس Ú©ÛŒ مثال کتے Ú©ÛŒ سی ہوگئی کہ اگر سختی کرو تو زبان نکالے رہے اور یونہی Ú†Ú¾ÙˆÚ‘ دو تو بھی زبان نکالے رہے۔ یہی مثال ان لوگوں Ú©ÛŒ ہے جنہوں Ù†Û’ ہماری آیتوں Ú©Ùˆ جھٹلایا تو ان سے یہ قصہ بیان کردو۔ تاکہ وہ فکر کریں﴿۱۷۶﴾

And had We willed We could have raised him by their means, but he clung to the earth and followed his own lust. Therefor his likeness is as the likeness of a dog: if thou attackest him he panteth with his tongue out, and if thou leavest him he panteth with his tongue out. Such is the likeness of the people who deny Our revelations. Narrate unto them the history (of the men of old), that haply they may take thought.﴾176﴿
