طٰسٓمٓ‏ ﴿۱﴾

Ta. Sin. Mim. ﴾1﴿

تِلۡكَ اٰيٰتُ الۡكِتٰبِ الۡمُبِيۡنِ‏ ﴿۲﴾

These are revelations of the Scripture that maketh plain. ﴾2﴿

لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّـفۡسَكَ اَلَّا يَكُوۡنُوۡا مُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳﴾

It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not. ﴾3﴿

اِنۡ نَّشَاۡ نُنَزِّلۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ اٰيَةً فَظَلَّتۡ اَعۡنَاقُهُمۡ لَهَا خٰضِعِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۴﴾

If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. ﴾4﴿

وَمَا يَاۡتِيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ ذِكۡرٍ مِّنَ الرَّحۡمٰنِ مُحۡدَثٍ اِلَّا كَانُوۡا عَنۡهُ مُعۡرِضِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۵﴾

Never cometh there unto them a fresh reminder from the Beneficent One, but they turn away from it. ﴾5﴿

فَقَدۡ كَذَّبُوۡا فَسَيَاۡتِيۡهِمۡ اَنۡۢبٰٓـؤُا مَا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۶﴾

Now they have denied (the Truth); but there will come unto them tidings of that whereat they used to scoff. ﴾6﴿

اَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡا اِلَى الۡاَرۡضِ ÙƒÙŽÙ…Û¡ اَنۡۢبَتۡنَا فِيۡهَا مِنۡ كُلِّ زَوۡجٍ كَرِيۡمٍ‏ ﴿۷﴾

Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein? ﴾7﴿

اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً‌ ؕ وَّمَا كَانَ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۸﴾

Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. ﴾8﴿

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۹﴾

And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. ﴾9﴿

وَاِذۡ نَادٰى رَبُّكَ مُوۡسٰىۤ اَنِ ائۡتِ الۡقَوۡمَ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۰﴾

And when thy Lord called Moses, saying: Go unto the wrongdoing folk, ﴾10﴿

Ù‚ÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ فِرۡعَوۡنَ‌ؕ اَلَا يَتَّقُوۡنَ‌‏ ﴿۱۱﴾

The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off (evil)? ﴾11﴿

قَالَ رَبِّ اِنِّىۡۤ اَخَافُ اَنۡ يُّكَذِّبُوۡنِؕ‏ ﴿۱۲﴾

He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, ﴾12﴿

وَيَضِيۡقُ صَدۡرِىۡ وَلَا يَنۡطَلِقُ لِسَانِىۡ فَاَرۡسِلۡ اِلٰى هٰرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۳﴾

And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). ﴾13﴿

وَلَهُمۡ عَلَىَّ ذَنۡۢبٌ فَاَخَافُ اَنۡ يَّقۡتُلُوۡنِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴﴾

And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. ﴾14﴿

قَالَ كَلَّا‌ۚ فَاذۡهَبَا بِاٰيٰتِنَآ‌ اِنَّا مَعَكُمۡ مُّسۡتَمِعُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۵﴾

He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. ﴾15﴿

فَاۡتِيَا فِرۡعَوۡنَ فَقُوۡلَاۤ اِنَّا رَسُوۡلُ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۶﴾

And come together unto Pharaoh and say: Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds, ﴾16﴿

اَنۡ اَرۡسِلۡ مَعَنَا بَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرآءِيۡلَؕ‏ ﴿۱۷﴾

(Saying): Let the Children of Israel go with us. ﴾17﴿

قَالَ اَلَمۡ نُرَبِّكَ فِيۡنَا وَلِيۡدًا وَّلَبِثۡتَ فِيۡنَا مِنۡ عُمُرِكَ سِنِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۸﴾

(Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, ﴾18﴿

وَفَعَلۡتَ فَعۡلَتَكَ الَّتِىۡ فَعَلۡتَ وَاَنۡتَ مِنَ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۹﴾

And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. ﴾19﴿

قَالَ فَعَلۡتُهَاۤ اِذًا وَّاَنَا مِنَ الضَّآلِّيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۲۰﴾

He said: I did it then, when I was of those who are astray. ﴾20﴿

فَفَرَرۡتُ مِنۡكُمۡ لَمَّا خِفۡتُكُمۡ فَوَهَبَ لِىۡ رَبِّىۡ حُكۡمًا وَّجَعَلَنِىۡ مِنَ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۱﴾

Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). ﴾21﴿

وَتِلۡكَ نِعۡمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ اَنۡ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرآءِيۡلَؕ‏ ﴿۲۲﴾

And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. ﴾22﴿

قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَمَا رَبُّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۲۳﴾

Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? ﴾23﴿

قَالَ رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَاؕ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّوۡقِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۴﴾

(Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. ﴾24﴿

قَالَ لِمَنۡ حَوۡلَهٗۤ اَلَا تَسۡتَمِعُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۵﴾

(Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? ﴾25﴿

قَالَ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ اٰبَآٮِٕكُمُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۶﴾

He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. ﴾26﴿

قَالَ اِنَّ رَسُوۡلَـكُمُ الَّذِىۡۤ اُرۡسِلَ اِلَيۡكُمۡ لَمَجۡنُوۡنٌ‏ ﴿۲۷﴾

(Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! ﴾27﴿

قَالَ رَبُّ الۡمَشۡرِقِ وَالۡمَغۡرِبِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَاؕ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۸﴾

He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. ﴾28﴿

قَالَ لَٮِٕنِ اتَّخَذۡتَ اِلٰهًا غَيۡرِىۡ لَاَجۡعَلَـنَّكَ مِنَ الۡمَسۡجُوۡنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۹﴾

(Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. ﴾29﴿

قَالَ اَوَلَوۡ جِئۡتُكَ بِشَىۡءٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۳۰﴾

He said: Even though I show thee something plain? ﴾30﴿

قَالَ فَاۡتِ بِهٖۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۱﴾

(Pharaoh) said: Produce it then, if thou art of the truthful! ﴾31﴿

‌فَاَلۡقٰى عَصَاهُ فَاِذَا هِىَ ثُعۡبَانٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ‌ ۖ‌‌ۚ‏ ﴿۳۲﴾

Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, ﴾32﴿

وَّنَزَعَ يَدَهٗ فَاِذَا هِىَ بَيۡضَآءُ لِلنّٰظِرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۳﴾

And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. ﴾33﴿

قَالَ لِلۡمَلَاِ حَوۡلَهٗۤ اِنَّ هٰذَا لَسٰحِرٌ عَلِيۡمٌۙ‏ ﴿۳۴﴾

(Pharaoh) said unto the chiefs about him: Lo! this is verily a knowing wizard, ﴾34﴿

يُّرِيۡدُ اَنۡ يُّخۡرِجَكُمۡ مِّنۡ اَرۡضِكُمۡ بِسِحۡرِهٖ‌ۖ فَمَاذَا تَاۡمُرُوۡنَ‌‏ ﴿۳۵﴾

Who would drive you out of your land by his magic. Now what counsel ye? ﴾35﴿

قَالُوۡۤا اَرۡجِهۡ وَاَخَاهُ وَابۡعَثۡ فِىۡ الۡمَدَآٮِٕنِ حٰشِرِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۳۶﴾

They said: Put him off, (him) and his brother, and send into the cities summoners ﴾36﴿

يَاۡتُوۡكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيۡمٍ‏ ﴿۳۷﴾

Who shall bring unto thee every knowing wizard. ﴾37﴿

فَجُمِعَ السَّحَرَةُ لِمِيۡقَاتِ يَوۡمٍ مَّعۡلُوۡمٍۙ‏ ﴿۳۸﴾

So the wizards were gathered together at a set time on a day appointed. ﴾38﴿

وَقِيۡلَ لِلنَّاسِ Ù‡ÙŽÙ„Û¡ اَنۡـتُمۡ مُّجۡتَمِعُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۳۹﴾

And it was said unto the people: Are ye (also) gathering? ﴾39﴿

لَعَلَّنَا نَـتَّبِعُ السَّحَرَةَ اِنۡ كَانُوۡا هُمُ الۡغٰلِبِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۴۰﴾

(They said): Aye, so that we may follow the wizards if they are the winners. ﴾40﴿

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالُوۡا لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ اَٮِٕنَّ لَـنَا لَاَجۡرًا اِنۡ كُنَّا نَحۡنُ الۡغٰلِبِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۴۱﴾

And when the wizards came they said unto Pharaoh: Will there surely be a reward for us if we are the winners? ﴾41﴿

قَالَ نَعَمۡ وَاِنَّكُمۡ اِذًا لَّمِنَ الۡمُقَرَّبِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۴۲﴾

He said: Aye, and ye will then surely be of those brought near (to me). ﴾42﴿

قَالَ لَهُمۡ مُّوۡسٰىۤ اَلۡقُوۡا مَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ مُّلۡقُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۴۳﴾

Moses said unto them: Throw what ye are going to throw! ﴾43﴿

فَاَلۡقَوۡا حِبَالَهُمۡ وَعِصِيَّهُمۡ وَقَالُوۡا بِعِزَّةِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ اِنَّا لَـنَحۡنُ الۡغٰلِبُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۴۴﴾

Then they threw down their cords and their staves and said: By Pharaoh's might, lo! we verily are the winners. ﴾44﴿

فَاَلۡقَىٰ مُوۡسٰى عَصَاهُ فَاِذَا هِىَ تَلۡقَفُ مَا يَاۡفِكُوۡنَ‌ۖ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۴۵﴾

Then Moses threw his staff and lo! it swallowed that which they did falsely show. ﴾45﴿

فَاُلۡقِىَ السَّحَرَةُ سٰجِدِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۴۶﴾

And the wizards were flung prostrate, ﴾46﴿

قَالُوۡۤا اٰمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۴۷﴾

Crying: We believe in the Lord of the Worlds, ﴾47﴿

رَبِّ مُوۡسٰى وَهٰرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۴۸﴾

The Lord of Moses and Aaron. ﴾48﴿

قَالَ اٰمَنۡتُمۡ لَهٗ قَبۡلَ اَنۡ اٰذَنَ لَـكُمۡ‌ۚ اِنَّهٗ لَكَبِيۡرُكُمُ الَّذِىۡ عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحۡرَ‌ۚ فَلَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ‌ؕ لَاُقَطِّعَنَّ اَيۡدِيَكُمۡ وَاَرۡجُلَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ خِلٰفٍ وَّلَاُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۴۹﴾

(Pharaoh) said: Ye put your faith in him before I give you leave. Lo! he doubtless is your chief who taught you magic! But verily ye shall come to know. Verily I will cut off your hands and your feet alternately, and verily I will crucify you every one. ﴾49﴿

قَالُوۡا لَا ضَيۡرَ‌ اِنَّاۤ اِلٰى رَبِّنَا مُنۡقَلِبُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۵۰﴾

They said: It is no hurt, for lo! unto our Lord we shall return. ﴾50﴿

اِنَّا نَطۡمَعُ اَنۡ يَّغۡفِرَ لَـنَا رَبُّنَا خَطٰيٰـنَاۤ اَنۡ كُنَّاۤ اَوَّلَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۵۱﴾

Lo! we ardently hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we are the first of the believers. ﴾51﴿

وَاَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلٰى مُوۡسٰٓى اَنۡ اَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِىۡۤ اِنَّكُمۡ مُّتَّبَعُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۵۲﴾

And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. ﴾52﴿

فَاَرۡسَلَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ فِىۡ الۡمَدَآٮِٕنِ حٰشِرِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۵۳﴾

Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, ﴾53﴿

اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرۡذِمَةٌ قَلِيۡلُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۵۴﴾

(Who said): Lo! these indeed are but a little troop, ﴾54﴿

وَاِنَّهُمۡ لَـنَا لَـغَآٮِٕظُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۵۵﴾

And lo! they are offenders against us. ﴾55﴿

وَاِنَّا لَجَمِيۡعٌ حٰذِرُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۵۶﴾

And lo! we are a ready host. ﴾56﴿

فَاَخۡرَجۡنٰهُمۡ مِّنۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوۡنٍۙ‏ ﴿۵۷﴾

Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, ﴾57﴿

وَكُنُوۡزٍ وَّمَقَامٍ كَرِيۡمٍۙ‏ ﴿۵۸﴾

And treasures and a fair estate. ﴾58﴿

كَذٰلِكَؕ وَاَوۡرَثۡنٰهَا بَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرآءِيۡلَؕ‏ ﴿۵۹﴾

Thus (were those things taken from them) and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. ﴾59﴿

فَاَتۡبَعُوۡهُمۡ مُّشۡرِقِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۶۰﴾

And they overtook them at sunrise. ﴾60﴿

فَلَمَّا تَرَآءَ الۡجَمۡعٰنِ قَالَ اَصۡحٰبُ مُوۡسٰٓى اِنَّا لَمُدۡرَكُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۶۱﴾

And when the two hosts saw each other, those with Moses said: Lo! we are indeed caught. ﴾61﴿

قَالَ كَلَّآ‌‌ ۚ اِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّىۡ سَيَهۡدِيۡنِ‏ ﴿۶۲﴾

He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. ﴾62﴿

فَاَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلٰى مُوۡسٰٓى اَنِ اضۡرِبْ بِّعَصَاكَ الۡبَحۡرَ‌ؕ فَانْفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرۡقٍ كَالطَّوۡدِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۶۳﴾

Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. ﴾63﴿

وَاَزۡلَـفۡنَا ثَمَّ الۡاٰخَرِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۶۴﴾

Then brought We near the others to that place. ﴾64﴿

وَاَنۡجَيۡنَا مُوۡسٰى ÙˆÙŽÙ…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ مَّعَهٗۤ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۶۵﴾

And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; ﴾65﴿

ثُمَّ اَغۡرَقۡنَا الۡاٰخَرِيۡنَ‌ؕ‏ ﴿۶۶﴾

And We drowned the others. ﴾66﴿

اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً‌ ؕ وَّمَا كَانَ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۶۷﴾

وَاتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَاَ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ‌ۘ‏ ﴿۶۹﴾

Recite unto them the story of Abraham: ﴾69﴿

اِذۡ قَالَ لِاَبِيۡهِ وَقَوۡمِهٖ مَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۷۰﴾

When he said unto his father and his folk: What worship ye? ﴾70﴿

قَالُوۡا نَـعۡبُدُ اَصۡنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عٰكِفِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۷۱﴾

They said: We worship idols, and are ever devoted unto them. ﴾71﴿

قَالَ Ù‡ÙŽÙ„Û¡ يَسۡمَعُوۡنَكُمۡ اِذۡ تَدۡعُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۷۲﴾

He said: Do they hear you when ye cry? ﴾72﴿

اَوۡ يَنۡفَعُوۡنَكُمۡ اَوۡ يَضُرُّوۡنَ‏ ﴿۷۳﴾

Or do they benefit or harm you? ﴾73﴿

قَالُوۡا بَلۡ وَجَدۡنَاۤ اٰبَآءَنَا كَذٰلِكَ يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۷۴﴾

They said: Nay, but we found our fathers acting on this wise. ﴾74﴿

قَالَ اَفَرَءَيۡتُمۡ مَّا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۷۵﴾

He said: See now that which ye worship, ﴾75﴿

اَنۡـتُمۡ وَاٰبَآؤُكُمُ الۡاَقۡدَمُوۡنَ‌ۖ‏ ﴿۷۶﴾

Ye and your forefathers! ﴾76﴿

فَاِنَّهُمۡ عَدُوٌّ لِّىۡۤ اِلَّا رَبَّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۷۷﴾

Lo! they are (all) an enemy unto me, save the Lord of the Worlds, ﴾77﴿

الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَنِىۡ فَهُوَ يَهۡدِيۡنِۙ‏ ﴿۷۸﴾

Who created me, and He doth guide me, ﴾78﴿

ÙˆÙŽ الَّذِىۡ هُوَ يُطۡعِمُنِىۡ وَيَسۡقِيۡنِۙ‏ ﴿۷۹﴾

And Who feedeth me and watereth me. ﴾79﴿

وَاِذَا مَرِضۡتُ فَهُوَ يَشۡفِيۡنِۙ‏ ﴿۸۰﴾

And when I sicken, then He healeth me, ﴾80﴿

وَالَّذِىۡ يُمِيۡتُنِىۡ ثُمَّ يُحۡيِيۡنِۙ‏ ﴿۸۱﴾

And Who causeth me to die, then giveth me life (again), ﴾81﴿

وَالَّذِىۡۤ اَطۡمَعُ اَنۡ يَّغۡفِرَ لِىۡ خَطِٓیْئـَٔـتِىۡ ÙŠÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ الدِّيۡنِؕ‏ ﴿۸۲﴾

And Who, I ardently hope, will forgive me my sin on the Day of Judgment. ﴾82﴿

رَبِّ هَبۡ لِىۡ حُكۡمًا وَّاَلۡحِقۡنِىۡ بِالصّٰلِحِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۸۳﴾

My Lord! Vouchsafe me wisdom and unite me to the righteous. ﴾83﴿

وَاجۡعَلْ لِّىۡ لِسَانَ صِدۡقٍ فِىۡ الۡاٰخِرِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۸۴﴾

And give unto me a good report in later generations. ﴾84﴿

وَاجۡعَلۡنِىۡ مِنۡ وَّرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيۡمِۙ‏ ﴿۸۵﴾

And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Delight, ﴾85﴿

وَاغۡفِرۡ لِاَبِىۡۤ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ مِنَ الضَّآلِّيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۸۶﴾

And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err. ﴾86﴿

وَلَا تُخۡزِنِىۡ ÙŠÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ يُبۡعَثُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۸۷﴾

And abase me not on the day when they are raised, ﴾87﴿

ÙŠÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ لَا يَنۡفَعُ مَالٌ وَّلَا بَنُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۸۸﴾

The day when wealth and sons avail not (any man) ﴾88﴿

اِلَّا Ù…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ اَتَى اللّٰهَ بِقَلۡبٍ سَلِيۡمٍؕ‏ ﴿۸۹﴾

Save him who bringeth unto Allah a whole heart. ﴾89﴿

وَاُزۡلِفَتِ الۡجَـنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۹۰﴾

And the Garden will be brought nigh for those who ward off (evil). ﴾90﴿

وَبُرِّزَتِ الۡجَحِيۡمُ لِلۡغٰوِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۹۱﴾

And hell will appear plainly to the erring. ﴾91﴿

وَقِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ اَيۡنَمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۹۲﴾

And it will be said unto them: Where is (all) that ye used to worship ﴾92﴿

مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِؕ Ù‡ÙŽÙ„Û¡ يَنۡصُرُوۡنَكُمۡ اَوۡ يَنۡتَصِرُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۹۳﴾

Instead of Allah? Can they help you or help themselves? ﴾93﴿

فَكُبۡكِبُوۡا فِيۡهَا هُمۡ وَالۡغَاوٗنَۙ‏ ﴿۹۴﴾

Then will they be hurled therein, they and the seducers ﴾94﴿

وَجُنُوۡدُ اِبۡلِيۡسَ اَجۡمَعُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۹۵﴾

And the hosts of Iblis, together. ﴾95﴿

قَالُوۡا وَهُمۡ فِيۡهَا يَخۡتَصِمُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۹۶﴾

And they will say, when they are quarrelling therein: ﴾96﴿

تَاللّٰهِ اِنۡ كُنَّا لَفِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيۡنٍۙ‏ ﴿۹۷﴾

By Allah, of a truth we were in error manifest ﴾97﴿

اِذۡ نُسَوِّيۡكُمۡ بِرَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۹۸﴾

When we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds. ﴾98﴿

وَمَاۤ اَضَلَّنَاۤ اِلَّا الۡمُجۡرِمُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۹۹﴾

It was but the guilty who misled us. ﴾99﴿

فَمَا لَـنَا مِنۡ شَافِعِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۰۰﴾

Now we have no intercessors ﴾100﴿

وَلَا صَدِيۡقٍ حَمِيۡمٍ‏ ﴿۱۰۱﴾

Nor any loving friend. ﴾101﴿

فَلَوۡ اَنَّ لَـنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۰۲﴾

Oh, that we had another turn (on earth), that we might be of the believers! ﴾102﴿

اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً‌ ؕ وَّمَا كَانَ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۰۳﴾

Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers! ﴾103﴿

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۱۰۴﴾

And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. ﴾104﴿

كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ نُوۡحِ  ۨالۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ‌ ۖ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۰۵﴾

Noah's folk denied the messengers (of Allah), ﴾105﴿

اِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ اَخُوۡهُمۡ نُوۡحٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۰۶﴾

When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? ﴾106﴿

اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ اَمِيۡنٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۰۷﴾

Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, ﴾107﴿

فَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ ÙˆÙŽ اَطِيۡعُوۡنِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۰۸﴾

So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. ﴾108﴿

وَمَاۤ اَسۡــَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ اَجۡرٍ‌ۚ اِنۡ اَجۡرِىَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۰۹﴾

And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. ﴾109﴿

فَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِؕ‏ ﴿۱۱۰﴾

So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. ﴾110﴿

قَالُوۡۤا اَنُؤۡمِنُ Ù„ÙŽÙƒÙŽ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الۡاَرۡذَلُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۱۱﴾

They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee? ﴾111﴿

قَالَ وَمَا عِلۡمِىۡ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۱۲﴾

He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? ﴾112﴿

اِنۡ حِسَابُهُمۡ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّىۡ‌ Ù„ÙŽÙˆÛ¡ تَشۡعُرُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۱۳﴾

Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; ﴾113﴿

وَمَاۤ اَنَا بِطَارِدِ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۱۴﴾

And I am not (here) to repulse believers. ﴾114﴿

اِنۡ اَنَا اِلَّا نَذِيۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌؕ‏ ﴿۱۱۵﴾

I am only a plain warner. ﴾115﴿

قَالُوۡا لَٮِٕنۡ لَّمۡ تَنۡتَهِ يٰـنُوۡحُ لَـتَكُوۡنَنَّ مِنَ الۡمَرۡجُوۡمِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۱۶﴾

They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death). ﴾116﴿

قَالَ رَبِّ اِنَّ قَوۡمِىۡ كَذَّبُوۡنِ‌ ۖ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۱۷﴾

He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. ﴾117﴿

فَافۡتَحۡ بَيۡنِىۡ وَبَيۡنَهُمۡ فَتۡحًا وَّنَجِّنِىۡ ÙˆÙŽÙ…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ مَّعِىَ مِنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۱۸﴾

Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. ﴾118﴿

فَاَنۡجَيۡنٰهُ ÙˆÙŽÙ…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ مَّعَهٗ فِىۡ الۡـفُلۡكِ الۡمَشۡحُوۡنِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۱۹﴾

And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. ﴾119﴿

ثُمَّ اَغۡرَقۡنَا بَعۡدُ الۡبٰقِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۲۰﴾

Then afterward We drowned the others. ﴾120﴿

اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً‌ ؕ وَّمَا كَانَ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۲۱﴾

Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. ﴾121﴿

ÙˆÙŽ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۱۲۲﴾

And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. ﴾122﴿

كَذَّبَتۡ عَادُ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ‌ۖ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۲۳﴾

(The tribe of) A'ad denied the messengers (of Allah). ﴾123﴿

اِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ اَخُوۡهُمۡ هُوۡدٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۲۴﴾

When their brother Hud said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? ﴾124﴿

اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ اَمِيۡنٌ‌ۙ‏ ﴿۱۲۵﴾

Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, ﴾125﴿

فَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۲۶﴾

So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. ﴾126﴿

وَمَاۤ اَسۡـَٔـلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ اَجۡرٍ‌ اِنۡ اَجۡرِىَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۲۷﴾

And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. ﴾127﴿

اَتَبۡنُوۡنَ بِكُلِّ رِيۡعٍ اٰيَةً تَعۡبَثُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۲۸﴾

Build ye on every high place a monument for vain delight? ﴾128﴿

ÙˆÙŽ تَتَّخِذُوۡنَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَخۡلُدُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۲۹﴾

And seek ye out strongholds, that haply ye may last for ever? ﴾129﴿

وَاِذَا بَطَشۡتُمۡ بَطَشۡتُمۡ جَبَّارِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۳۰﴾

And if ye seize by force, seize ye as tyrants? ﴾130﴿

فَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۳۱﴾

Rather keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. ﴾131﴿

وَاتَّقُوۡا الَّذِىۡۤ اَمَدَّكُمۡ بِمَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۳۲﴾

Keep your duty toward Him Who hath aided you with (the good things) that ye know, ﴾132﴿

اَمَدَّكُمۡ بِاَنۡعَامٍ وَّبَنِيۡنَ ‌ۚۙ‏ ﴿۱۳۳﴾

Hath aided you with cattle and sons. ﴾133﴿

وَجَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوۡنٍ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۳۴﴾

And gardens and watersprings. ﴾134﴿

اِنِّىۡۤ اَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيۡمٍؕ‏ ﴿۱۳۵﴾

Lo! I fear for you the retribution of an awful day. ﴾135﴿

قَالُوۡا سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡنَاۤ اَوَعَظۡتَ اَمۡ Ù„ÙŽÙ…Û¡ تَكُنۡ مِّنَ الۡوٰعِظِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۳۶﴾

They said: It is all one to us whether thou preachest or art not of those who preach; ﴾136﴿

اِنۡ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا خُلُقُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۳۷﴾

This is but a fable of the men of old, ﴾137﴿

وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۳۸﴾

And we shall not be doomed. ﴾138﴿

فَكَذَّبُوۡهُ فَاَهۡلَـكۡنٰهُمۡ‌ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً‌ ؕ ÙˆÙŽ مَا كَانَ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۳۹﴾

And they denied him; therefor We destroyed them. Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. ﴾139﴿

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۱۴۰﴾

And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. ﴾140﴿

كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُوۡدُ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ‌ ۖ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴۱﴾

(The tribe of) Thamud denied the messengers (of Allah) ﴾141﴿

اِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ اَخُوۡهُمۡ صٰلِحٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴۲﴾

When their brother Salih said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? ﴾142﴿

اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ اَمِيۡنٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۴۳﴾

Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, ﴾143﴿

فَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴۴﴾

So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. ﴾144﴿

وَمَاۤ اَسۡــَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ اَجۡرٍ‌ۚ اِنۡ اَجۡرِىَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۴۵﴾

And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. ﴾145﴿

اَتُتۡرَكُوۡنَ فِىۡ مَا هٰهُنَاۤ اٰمِنِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۴۶﴾

Will ye be left secure in that which is here before us, ﴾146﴿

فِىۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوۡنٍۙ‏ ﴿۱۴۷﴾

In gardens and watersprings. ﴾147﴿

وَّزُرُوۡعٍ وَّنَخۡلٍ طَلۡعُهَا هَضِيۡمٌ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴۸﴾

And tilled fields and heavy-sheathed palm-trees, ﴾148﴿

وَتَـنۡحِتُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡجِبَالِ بُيُوۡتًا فٰرِهِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴۹﴾

Though ye hew out dwellings in the mountain, being skilful? ﴾149﴿

فَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۵۰﴾

Therefor keep your duty to Allah and obey me, ﴾150﴿

وَلَا تُطِيۡعُوۡۤا اَمۡرَ الۡمُسۡرِفِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۵۱﴾

And obey not the command of the prodigal, ﴾151﴿

الَّذِيۡنَ يُفۡسِدُوۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ ÙˆÙŽ لَا يُصۡلِحُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۵۲﴾

Who spread corruption in the earth, and reform not. ﴾152﴿

قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّمَاۤ اَنۡتَ مِنَ الۡمُسَحَّرِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۵۳﴾

They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; ﴾153﴿

مَاۤ اَنۡتَ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُنَا‌ ۖۚ فَاۡتِ بِاٰيَةٍ اِنۡ كُنۡتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۵۴﴾

Thou art but a mortal like us. So bring some token if thou art of the truthful. ﴾154﴿

قَالَ هٰذِهٖ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرۡبٌ وَّلَـكُمۡ شِرۡبُ يَوۡمٍ مَّعۡلُوۡمٍ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۵۵﴾

He said: (Behold) this she-camel. She hath the right to drink (at the well), and ye have the right to drink, (each) on an appointed day. ﴾155﴿

وَلَا تَمَسُّوۡهَا بِسُوۡٓءٍ فَيَاۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيۡمٍ‏ ﴿۱۵۶﴾

And touch her not with ill lest there come on you the retribution of an awful day. ﴾156﴿

فَعَقَرُوۡهَا فَاَصۡبَحُوۡا نٰدِمِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۵۷﴾

But they hamstrung her, and then were penitent. ﴾157﴿

فَاَخَذَهُمُ الۡعَذَابُ‌ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً‌ ؕ وَّمَا كَانَ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۵۸﴾

So the retribution came on them. Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. ﴾158﴿

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۱۵۹﴾

And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. ﴾159﴿

كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوۡطٍ ۨ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ‌ ۖ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۶۰﴾

The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), ﴾160﴿

اِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ اَخُوۡهُمۡ لُوۡطٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۶۱﴾

When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? ﴾161﴿

اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ اَمِيۡنٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۶۲﴾

Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, ﴾162﴿

فَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۶۳﴾

وَمَاۤ اَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ اَجۡرٍ‌ۚ اِنۡ اَجۡرِىَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۶۴﴾

اَتَاۡتُوۡنَ الذُّكۡرَانَ مِنَ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۶۵﴾

What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, ﴾165﴿

ÙˆÙŽ تَذَرُوۡنَ مَا خَلَقَ لَـكُمۡ رَبُّكُمۡ مِّنۡ اَزۡوَاجِكُمۡ‌ؕ بَلۡ اَنۡـتُمۡ Ù‚ÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŒ عٰدُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۶۶﴾

And leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are froward folk. ﴾166﴿

قَالُوۡا لَٮِٕنۡ لَّمۡ تَنۡتَهِ يٰلُوۡطُ لَـتَكُوۡنَنَّ مِنَ الۡمُخۡرَجِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۶۷﴾

They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. ﴾167﴿

قَالَ اِنِّىۡ لِعَمَلِكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡقَالِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۶۸﴾

He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. ﴾168﴿

رَبِّ نَجِّنِىۡ وَاَهۡلِىۡ مِمَّا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۶۹﴾

My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. ﴾169﴿

فَنَجَّيۡنٰهُ ÙˆÙŽ اَهۡلَهٗۤ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۷۰﴾

So We saved him and his household, every one, ﴾170﴿

اِلَّا عَجُوۡزًا فِىۡ الۡغٰبِرِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۷۱﴾

Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. ﴾171﴿

ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا الۡاٰخَرِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۷۲﴾

Then afterward We destroyed the others. ﴾172﴿

وَاَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ مَّطَرًا‌ۚ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ الۡمُنۡذَرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۷۳﴾

And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. ﴾173﴿

اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً‌ ؕ وَّمَا كَانَ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۷۴﴾

Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. ﴾174﴿

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۱۷۵﴾

And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. ﴾175﴿

كَذَّبَ اَصۡحٰبُ لْئَيۡكَةِ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ ‌ۖ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۷۶﴾

The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah), ﴾176﴿

اِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ شُعَيۡبٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۷۷﴾

When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? ﴾177﴿

اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ اَمِيۡنٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۷۸﴾

Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, ﴾178﴿

فَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۷۹﴾

So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. ﴾179﴿

وَمَاۤ اَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ اَجۡرٍ‌ۚ اِنۡ اَجۡرِىَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۸۰﴾

And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. ﴾180﴿

اَوۡفُوۡا الۡـكَيۡلَ وَلَا تَكُوۡنُوۡا مِنَ الۡمُخۡسِرِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۸۱﴾

Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). ﴾181﴿

وَزِنُوۡا بِالۡقِسۡطَاسِ الۡمُسۡتَقِيۡمِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۸۲﴾

And weigh with the true balance. ﴾182﴿

وَلَا تَبۡخَسُوا النَّاسَ اَشۡيَآءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۸۳﴾

Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. ﴾183﴿

وَاتَّقُوۡا الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَكُمۡ وَالۡجِـبِلَّةَ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۸۴﴾

And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. ﴾184﴿

قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّمَاۤ اَنۡتَ مِنَ الۡمُسَحَّرِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۸۵﴾

They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; ﴾185﴿

وَمَاۤ اَنۡتَ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُـنَا ÙˆÙŽ اِنۡ نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الۡكٰذِبِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۸۶﴾

Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. ﴾186﴿

فَاَسۡقِطۡ عَلَيۡنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ اِنۡ كُنۡتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۸۷﴾

Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. ﴾187﴿

قَالَ رَبِّىۡۤ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۸۸﴾

He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. ﴾188﴿

فَكَذَّبُوۡهُ فَاَخَذَهُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمِ الظُّلَّةِ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيۡمٍ‏ ﴿۱۸۹﴾

But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. ﴾189﴿

اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً‌ ؕ وَّمَا كَانَ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۹۰﴾

Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. ﴾190﴿

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۱۹۱﴾

And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. ﴾191﴿

وَاِنَّهٗ لَـتَنۡزِيۡلُ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۹۲﴾

And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, ﴾192﴿

نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوۡحُ الۡاَمِيۡنُۙ‏ ﴿۱۹۳﴾

Which the True Spirit hath brought down ﴾193﴿

عَلٰى قَلۡبِكَ لِتَكُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡمُنۡذِرِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۹۴﴾

Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, ﴾194﴿

بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِىٍّ مُّبِيۡنٍؕ‏ ﴿۱۹۵﴾

In plain Arabic speech. ﴾195﴿

وَاِنَّهٗ لَفِىۡ زُبُرِ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۹۶﴾

And lo! it is in the Scriptures of the men of old. ﴾196﴿

اَوَلَمۡ يَكُنۡ لَّهُمۡ اٰيَةً اَنۡ يَّعۡلَمَهٗ عُلَمٰٓؤُا بَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرآءِيۡلَؕ‏ ﴿۱۹۷﴾

Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? ﴾197﴿

ÙˆÙŽÙ„ÙŽÙˆÛ¡ نَزَّلۡنٰهُ عَلٰى بَعۡضِ الۡاَعۡجَمِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۹۸﴾

And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, ﴾198﴿

فَقَرَاَهٗ عَلَيۡهِمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ مُؤۡمِنِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۹۹﴾

And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. ﴾199﴿

كَذٰلِكَ سَلَكۡنٰهُ فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِ الۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۲۰۰﴾

Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. ﴾200﴿

لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِهٖ حَتّٰى يَرَوُا الۡعَذَابَ الۡاَلِيۡمَۙ‏ ﴿۲۰۱﴾

They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, ﴾201﴿

فَيَاۡتِيَهُمۡ بَغۡتَةً وَّهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۲۰۲﴾

So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. ﴾202﴿

فَيَـقُوۡلُوۡا Ù‡ÙŽÙ„Û¡ نَحۡنُ مُنۡظَرُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۲۰۳﴾

Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? ﴾203﴿

اَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۰۴﴾

Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? ﴾204﴿

اَفَرَءَيۡتَ اِنۡ مَّتَّعۡنٰهُمۡ سِنِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۲۰۵﴾

Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, ﴾205﴿

ثُمَّ جَآءَهُمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا يُوۡعَدُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۲۰۶﴾

And then cometh that which they were promised, ﴾206﴿

مَاۤ اَغۡنٰى عَنۡهُمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا يُمَتَّعُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۲۰۷﴾

(How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? ﴾207﴿

وَمَاۤ اَهۡلَكۡنَا مِنۡ قَرۡيَةٍ اِلَّا لَهَا مُنۡذِرُوۡنَ‌‌‌‌‌ ۛ‌ۖ‏ ﴿۲۰۸﴾

And We destroyed no township but it had its warners ﴾208﴿

ذِكۡرٰى‌ۛ وَمَا كُنَّا ظٰلِمِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۰۹﴾

For reminder, for We never were oppressors. ﴾209﴿

وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتۡ بِهِ الشَّيٰطِيۡنُ‏ ﴿۲۱۰﴾

The devils did not bring it down. ﴾210﴿

وَمَا يَنۡۢبَغِىۡ لَهُمۡ وَمَا يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۲۱۱﴾

It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, ﴾211﴿

اِنَّهُمۡ عَنِ السَّمۡعِ لَمَعۡزُوۡلُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۲۱۲﴾

Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. ﴾212﴿

فَلَا تَدۡعُ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَ فَتَكُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡمُعَذَّبِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۲۱۳﴾

Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. ﴾213﴿

وَاَنۡذِرۡ عَشِيۡرَتَكَ الۡاَقۡرَبِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۲۱۴﴾

And warn thy tribe of near kindred, ﴾214﴿

وَاخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۲۱۵﴾

And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. ﴾215﴿

فَاِنۡ عَصَوۡكَ فَقُلۡ اِنِّىۡ بَرِىۡٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۲۱۶﴾

And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. ﴾216﴿

وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى الۡعَزِيۡزِ الرَّحِيۡمِۙ‏ ﴿۲۱۷﴾

And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. ﴾217﴿

الَّذِىۡ يَرٰٮكَ حِيۡنَ تَقُوۡمُۙ‏ ﴿۲۱۸﴾

Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) ﴾218﴿

وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِىۡ السّٰجِدِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۱۹﴾

And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). ﴾219﴿

اِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيۡعُ الۡعَلِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۲۲۰﴾

Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. ﴾220﴿

Ù‡ÙŽÙ„Û¡ اُنَبِّئُكُمۡ عَلٰى Ù…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ تَنَزَّلُ الشَّيٰـطِيۡنُؕ‏ ﴿۲۲۱﴾

Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? ﴾221﴿

تَنَزَّلُ عَلٰى كُلِّ اَفَّاكٍ اَثِيۡمٍۙ‏ ﴿۲۲۲﴾

They descend on every sinful, false one. ﴾222﴿

يُلۡقُوۡنَ السَّمۡعَ وَاَكۡثَرُهُمۡ كٰذِبُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۲۲۳﴾

They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. ﴾223﴿

وَالشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الۡغَاوٗنَؕ‏ ﴿۲۲۴﴾

As for poets, the erring follow them. ﴾224﴿

اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّهُمۡ فِىۡ كُلِّ وَادٍ يَّهِيۡمُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۲۲۵﴾

Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, ﴾225﴿

وَاَنَّهُمۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ مَا لَا يَفۡعَلُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۲۲۶﴾

And how they say that which they do not? ﴾226﴿

اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَذَكَرُوۡا اللّٰهَ كَثِيۡرًا وَّانْتَصَرُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا ظُلِمُوۡا‌ؕ وَسَيَـعۡلَمُ الَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡۤا اَىَّ مُنۡقَلَبٍ يَّـنۡقَلِبُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۲۷﴾

Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! ﴾227﴿
