وَالۡكِتٰبِ الۡمُبِيۡنِۛ ۙ‏ ﴿۲﴾

By the Scripture that maketh plain ﴾2﴿

اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهُ فِىۡ لَيۡلَةٍ مُّبٰرَكَةٍ‌ اِنَّا كُنَّا مُنۡذِرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳﴾

Lo! We revealed it on a blessed night - Lo! We are ever warning - ﴾3﴿

فِيۡهَا يُفۡرَقُ كُلُّ اَمۡرٍ حَكِيۡمٍۙ‏ ﴿۴﴾

Whereon every wise command is made clear ﴾4﴿

اَمۡرًا مِّنۡ عِنۡدِنَا‌ؕ اِنَّا كُنَّا مُرۡسِلِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۵﴾

As a command from Our presence - Lo! We are ever sending - ﴾5﴿

رَحۡمَةً مِّنۡ رَّبِّكَ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيۡعُ الۡعَلِيۡمُۙ‏ ﴿۶﴾

A mercy from thy Lord. Lo! He, even He is the Hearer, the Knower, ﴾6﴿

رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا‌ۘ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّوۡقِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۷﴾

Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye would be sure. ﴾7﴿

لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ يُحۡىٖ وَيُمِيۡتُ‌ؕ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ اٰبَآٮِٕكُمُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۸﴾

There is no Allah save Him. He quickeneth and giveth death; your Lord and Lord of your forefathers. ﴾8﴿

بَلۡ هُمۡ فِىۡ شَكٍّ يَّلۡعَبُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۹﴾

Nay, but they play in doubt. ﴾9﴿

فَارۡتَقِبۡ ÙŠÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ تَاۡتِىۡ السَّمَآءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُّبِيۡنٍۙ‏ ﴿۱۰﴾

But watch thou (O Muhammad) for the day when the sky will produce visible smoke ﴾10﴿

يَغۡشَى النَّاسَ‌ؕ هٰذَا عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ‏ ﴿۱۱﴾

That will envelop the people. This will be a painful torment. ﴾11﴿

رَّبَّنَا اكۡشِفۡ عَنَّا الۡعَذَابَ اِنَّا مُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۲﴾

(Then they will say): Our Lord relieve us of the torment. Lo! we are believers. ﴾12﴿

اَنّٰى لَهُمُ الذِّكۡرٰى وَقَدۡ جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ مُّبِيۡنٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۳﴾

How can there be remembrance for them, when a messenger making plain (the Truth) had already come unto them, ﴾13﴿

ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوۡا عَنۡهُ وَقَالُوۡا مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجۡنُوۡنٌ‌ۘ‏ ﴿۱۴﴾

And they had turned away from him and said: One taught (by others), a madman? ﴾14﴿

اِنَّا كَاشِفُوۡا الۡعَذَابِ قَلِيۡلاً‌ اِنَّكُمۡ عَآٮِٕدُوۡنَ‌ۘ‏ ﴿۱۵﴾

Lo! We withdraw the torment a little. Lo! ye return (to disbelief). ﴾15﴿

ÙŠÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ نَبۡطِشُ الۡبَطۡشَةَ الۡكُبۡرٰى‌ۚ اِنَّا مُنۡتَقِمُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۶﴾

On the day when We shall seize them with the greater seizure, (then) in truth We shall punish. ﴾16﴿

وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا قَبۡلَهُمۡ Ù‚ÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ÙˆÙŽ جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ كَرِيۡمٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۷﴾

And verily We tried before them Pharaoh's folk, when there came unto them a noble messenger, ﴾17﴿

اَنۡ اَدُّوۡۤا اِلَىَّ عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ‌ؕ اِنِّىۡ لَكُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ اَمِيۡنٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۸﴾

Saying: Give up to me the slaves of Allah. Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you. ﴾18﴿

وَاَنۡ لَّا تَعۡلُوۡا عَلَى اللّٰهِ‌ۚ اِنِّىۡۤ اٰتِيۡكُمۡ بِسُلۡطٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۹﴾

And saying: Be not proud against Allah. Lo! I bring you a clear warrant. ﴾19﴿

وَاِنِّىۡ عُذۡتُ بِرَبِّىۡ وَرَبِّكُمۡ اَنۡ تَرۡجُمُوۡنِۚ‏ ﴿۲۰﴾

And lo! I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord lest ye stone me to death. ﴾20﴿

وَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تُؤۡمِنُوۡا لِىۡ فَاعۡتَزِلُوۡنِ‏ ﴿۲۱﴾

And if ye put no faith in me, then let me go. ﴾21﴿

فَدَعَا رَبَّهٗۤ اَنَّ هٰٓؤُلَآءِ Ù‚ÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŒ مُّجۡرِمُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۲﴾

And he cried unto his Lord, (saying): These are guilty folk. ﴾22﴿

فَاَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِىۡ لَيۡلاً اِنَّكُمۡ مُّتَّبَعُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۲۳﴾

Then (his Lord commanded): Take away My slaves by night. Lo! ye will be followed, ﴾23﴿

وَاتۡرُكِ الۡبَحۡرَ رَهۡوًا‌ؕ اِنَّهُمۡ جُنۡدٌ مُّغۡرَقُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۴﴾

And leave the sea behind at rest, for lo! they are a drowned host. ﴾24﴿

ÙƒÙŽÙ…Û¡ تَرَكُوۡا مِنۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوۡنٍۙ‏ ﴿۲۵﴾

How many were the gardens and the watersprings that they left behind, ﴾25﴿

وَّزُرُوۡعٍ وَّمَقَامٍ كَرِيۡمٍۙ‏ ﴿۲۶﴾

And the cornlands and the goodly sites ﴾26﴿

وَّنَعۡمَةٍ كَانُوۡا فِيۡهَا فٰكِهِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۲۷﴾

And pleasant things wherein they took delight! ﴾27﴿

كَذٰلِكَ‌ وَاَوۡرَثۡنٰهَا قَوۡمًا اٰخَرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۸﴾

Even so (it was), and We made it an inheritance for other folk; ﴾28﴿

فَمَا بَكَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ السَّمَآءُ وَالۡاَرۡضُ وَمَا كَانُوۡا مُنۡظَرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۹﴾

And the heaven and the earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved. ﴾29﴿

وَلَقَدۡ نَجَّيۡنَا بَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرآءِيۡلَ مِنَ الۡعَذَابِ الۡمُهِيۡنِۙ‏ ﴿۳۰﴾

And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; ﴾30﴿

مِنۡ فِرۡعَوۡنَ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِّنَ الۡمُسۡرِفِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۱﴾

(We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. ﴾31﴿

وَلَقَدِ اخۡتَرۡنٰهُمۡ عَلٰى عِلۡمٍ عَلَى الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۳۲﴾

And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. ﴾32﴿

وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاٰيٰتِ مَا فِيۡهِ بَلٰٓؤٌا مُّبِيۡنٌ‏ ﴿۳۳﴾

And We gave them portents wherein was a clear trial. ﴾33﴿

اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۳۴﴾

Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: ﴾34﴿

اِنۡ هِىَ اِلَّا مَوۡتَتُنَا الۡاُوۡلٰى وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُنۡشَرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۵﴾

There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. ﴾35﴿

فَاۡتُوۡا بِاٰبَآٮِٕنَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۶﴾

Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! ﴾36﴿

اَهُمۡ خَيۡرٌ اَمۡ قَوۡمُ تُبَّعٍۙ وَّ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ‌ؕ اَهۡلَكۡنٰهُمۡ‌ اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا مُجۡرِمِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۷﴾

Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. ﴾37﴿

وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا لٰعِبِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۸﴾

And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. ﴾38﴿

مَا خَلَقۡنٰهُمَاۤ اِلَّا بِالۡحَقِّ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۹﴾

We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. ﴾39﴿

اِنَّ ÙŠÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ الۡفَصۡلِ مِيۡقَاتُهُمۡ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۴۰﴾

Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, ﴾40﴿

ÙŠÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ لَا يُغۡنِىۡ مَوۡلًى عَنۡ مَّوۡلًى شَيۡــًٔا وَّلَا هُمۡ يُنۡصَرُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۴۱﴾

A day when friend can in naught avail friend, nor can they be helped, ﴾41﴿

اِلَّا Ù…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ رَّحِمَ اللّٰهُ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۴۲﴾

Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. ﴾42﴿

اِنَّ شَجَرَتَ الزَّقُّوۡمِۙ‏ ﴿۴۳﴾

Lo! the tree of Zaqqum, ﴾43﴿

طَعَامُ الۡاَثِيۡمِۛۚ ۖ‏ ﴿۴۴﴾

The food of the sinner! ﴾44﴿

كَالۡمُهۡلِ ۛۚ يَغۡلِىۡ فِىۡ الۡبُطُوۡنِۙ‏ ﴿۴۵﴾

Like molten brass, it seetheth in their bellies ﴾45﴿

كَغَلۡىِ الۡحَمِيۡمِ‏ ﴿۴۶﴾

As the seething of boiling water. ﴾46﴿

خُذُوۡهُ فَاعۡتِلُوۡهُ اِلٰى سَوَآءِ الۡجَحِيۡمِۙ‏ ﴿۴۷﴾

(And it will be said): Take him and drag him to the midst of hell, ﴾47﴿

ثُمَّ صُبُّوۡا فَوۡقَ رَاۡسِهٖ مِنۡ عَذَابِ الۡحَمِيۡمِؕ‏ ﴿۴۸﴾

Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. ﴾48﴿

ذُقۡ Û–Ûš اِنَّكَ اَنۡتَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡكَرِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۴۹﴾

(Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! ﴾49﴿

اِنَّ هٰذَا مَا كُنۡتُمۡ بِهٖ تَمۡتَرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۵۰﴾

Lo! this is that whereof ye used to doubt. ﴾50﴿

اِنَّ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ فِىۡ مَقَامٍ اَمِيۡنٍۙ‏ ﴿۵۱﴾

Lo! those who kept their duty will be in a place secured. ﴾51﴿

فِىۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوۡنٍۙ ۚ‏ ﴿۵۲﴾

Amid gardens and watersprings, ﴾52﴿

يَّلۡبَسُوۡنَ مِنۡ سُنۡدُسٍ وَّاِسۡتَبۡرَقٍ مُّتَقٰبِلِيۡنَۚ ۙ‏ ﴿۵۳﴾

Attired in silk and silk embroidery, facing one another. ﴾53﴿

كَذٰلِكَ وَزَوَّجۡنٰهُمۡ بِحُوۡرٍ عِيۡنٍؕ‏ ﴿۵۴﴾

Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. ﴾54﴿

يَدۡعُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا بِكُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ اٰمِنِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۵۵﴾

They call therein for every fruit in safety. ﴾55﴿

لَا يَذُوۡقُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا الۡمَوۡتَ اِلَّا الۡمَوۡتَةَ الۡاُوۡلٰى‌ ۚ وَوَقٰٮهُمۡ عَذَابَ الۡجَحِيۡمِۙ‏ ﴿۵۶﴾

They taste not death therein, save the first death. And He hath saved them from the doom of hell, ﴾56﴿

فَضۡلاً مِّنۡ رَّبِّكَ‌ؕ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡعَظِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۵۷﴾

A bounty from thy Lord. That is the supreme triumph. ﴾57﴿

فَاِنَّمَا يَسَّرۡنٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَذَكَّرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۵۸﴾

And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed. ﴾58﴿

فَارۡتَقِبۡ اِنَّهُمۡ مُّرۡتَقِبُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۵۹﴾

Wait then (O Muhammad). Lo! they (too) are waiting. ﴾59﴿
