اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْشَقَّتۡۙ‏ ﴿۱﴾

When the heaven is split asunder ﴾1﴿

وَاَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡۙ‏ ﴿۲﴾

And attentive to her Lord in fear, ﴾2﴿

وَاِذَا الۡاَرۡضُ مُدَّتۡؕ‏ ﴿۳﴾

And when the earth is spread out ﴾3﴿

وَاَلۡقَتۡ مَا فِيۡهَا وَتَخَلَّتۡۙ‏ ﴿۴﴾

And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty ﴾4﴿

وَاَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡؕ‏ ﴿۵﴾

And attentive to her Lord in fear! ﴾5﴿

يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡاِنۡسَانُ اِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ كَدۡحًا فَمُلٰقِيۡهِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۶﴾

Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence). ﴾6﴿

فَاَمَّا Ù…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ اُوۡتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِيَمِيۡنِهٖۙ‏ ﴿۷﴾

Then whoso is given his account in his right hand ﴾7﴿

فَسَوۡفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَّسِيۡرًاۙ‏ ﴿۸﴾

He truly will receive an easy reckoning ﴾8﴿

وَّيَنۡقَلِبُ اِلٰٓى اَهۡلِهٖ مَسۡرُوۡرًاؕ‏ ﴿۹﴾

And will return unto his folk in joy. ﴾9﴿

وَاَمَّا Ù…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ اُوۡتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ وَرَآءَ ظَهۡرِهٖۙ‏ ﴿۱۰﴾

But whoso is given his account behind his back, ﴾10﴿

فَسَوۡفَ يَدۡعُوۡا ثُبُوۡرًاۙ‏ ﴿۱۱﴾

He surely will invoke destruction ﴾11﴿

وَّيَصۡلٰى سَعِيۡرًاؕ‏ ﴿۱۲﴾

And be thrown to scorching fire. ﴾12﴿

اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فِىۡۤ اَهۡلِهٖ مَسۡرُوۡرًاؕ‏ ﴿۱۳﴾

He verily lived joyous with his folk, ﴾13﴿

اِنَّهٗ ظَنَّ اَنۡ لَّنۡ يَّحُوۡرَ‌ ۛ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴﴾

He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). ﴾14﴿

بَلٰٓى  ۛۚ اِنَّ رَبَّهٗ كَانَ بِهٖ بَصِيۡرًاؕ‏ ﴿۱۵﴾

Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him! ﴾15﴿

فَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِۙ‏ ﴿۱۶﴾

Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, ﴾16﴿

وَالَّيۡلِ وَمَا وَسَقَۙ‏ ﴿۱۷﴾

And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, ﴾17﴿

وَالۡقَمَرِ اِذَا اتَّسَقَۙ‏ ﴿۱۸﴾

And by the moon when she is at the full, ﴾18﴿

لَتَرۡكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنۡ طَبَقٍؕ‏ ﴿۱۹﴾

That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. ﴾19﴿

فَمَا لَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۲۰﴾

What aileth them, then, that they believe not ﴾20﴿

وَاِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡقُرۡاٰنُ لَا يَسۡجُدُوۡنَ۩ؕ‏ ﴿۲۱﴾

And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)? ﴾21﴿

بَلِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا يُكَذِّبُوۡنَۖ‏ ﴿۲۲﴾

Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; ﴾22﴿

وَاللّٰهُ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يُوۡعُوۡنَۖ‏ ﴿۲۳﴾

And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. ﴾23﴿

فَبَشِّرۡهُمۡ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيۡمٍۙ‏ ﴿۲۴﴾

So give them tidings of a painful doom, ﴾24﴿

اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوۡا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمۡ اَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُوۡنٍ‏ ﴿۲۵﴾

Save those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing. ﴾25﴿
