کوئی شے دل کو بہلاتی نہیں ہے
کبھی آنکھوں پہ کبھی سر پہ بٹھائے رکھنا
حصول منزل جاں کا ہنر نہیں آیا
ہمارے خواب چوری ہو گئے ہیں
گھر بھی ویرانہ لگے تازہ ہواؤں کے بغیر
درد ہجرت کے ستائے ہوئے لوگوں کو کہیں
اہل زر نے دیکھ کر کم ظرفئ اہل قلم
اسی کے ظلم سے میں حالت پناہ میں تھا
تشنگئ لب پہ ہم عکس آب لکھیں گے
سمندر کا تماشہ کر رہا ہوں
رت نہ بدلے تو بھی افسردہ شجر لگتا ہے
رخ حیات ہے شرمندۂ جمال بہت
قاتل ہوا خموش تو تلوار بول اٹھی
پڑے ہیں راہ میں جو لوگ بے سبب کب سے
مرے ہر لفظ کی توقیر رہنے کے لیے ہے
کوئی شے دل کو بہلاتی نہیں ہے
کبھی آنکھوں پہ کبھی سر پہ بٹھائے رکھنا
جو پی رہا ہے سدا خون بے گناہوں کا
حصول منزل جاں کا ہنر نہیں آیا
دیدۂ بے رنگ میں خوں رنگ منظر رکھ دیے
