MOL Pakistan Free eye camps in TAL Block concluded

At the request of local elders and community, MOL Pakistan Oil & Gas Company B.V., in collaboration with Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Kohat, conducted four free eye camps in the TAL Block of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through which more than 2,000 patients received treatment.

These camps were arranged at various locations in MOL Pakistan’s operating areas, covering Karak, Hangu and Kohat. Medical teams comprising of specialist doctors, refractionists and supporting staff from Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Kohat, provided services at the camps.

OPDs of the camps facilitated more than 2,000 patients including men, women and children. More than 1,014 patients were provided with spectacles after detailed check-ups. 340 patients were referred to hospital for further investigation, while 50 patients were taken to Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital for surgeries.

It is pertinent to mention here that prior to these recent camps, a total of 19 such facilitations have been previously arranged by MOL Pakistan, that have served more than 9,000 patients including senior citizens and children.

In his message, Mr. Ali Murtaza Abbas, MOL Group Regional Vice President for Middle East, Africa and Pakistan said, “MOL Group is a responsible corporate entity that believes in the betterment of local communities wherever it operates globally. The number of camps we have so far arranged in this region is an excellent example of our efforts and support to the local communities. We have time and again invested handsomely to organize these camps and pledge to support more in the years to come, with the extended support of the district administrations”.

In a joint statement, the elders of the local communities, thanked MOL Pakistan for these excellent initiatives and wished that the company would continue to support them in the years to come.
