yun khul gaya hai raaz-e-shikast-e-talab kabhi
aankhon se bah gaya hai lahu be-sabab kabhi
viraniyon ne tham liya daman-e-hayat
hum log bhi the KHanda-e-bazm-e-tarab kabhi
jo log aaj zinat-e-KHwab-o-KHayal hain
rahte the sath sath mere roz-o-shab kabhi
aawara aaj surat-e-barg-e-KHizan mile
milti thi jin se baad-e-saba ba-adab kabhi
ek ek samt jin ko bagule uDa gae
yakja na ho sakenge wo auraq ab kabhi
tark-e-talluqat hai phir bhi ThiThuk gae
guzre hain mere pas se ho kar wo jab kabhi
mohlat kuchh aur kashmakash-e-intizar de
aa jae kuchh KHayal use kya ajab kabhi
