lafz ka bas hai talluq mere tere darmiyan
lafz ke mani pe qaem sare rishton ka nishan
pahle chup ki guftugu us ki samajh mein aati thi
bhul baiThi hai kahi aur an-kahi donon zaban
lafz KHud hum ne gaDhe izhaar-e-ulfat ke liye
wasl ki takmil hai mamnun-e-tashkil-e-lisan
ho na gar ulfat to nafrat ho zaruri to nahin
ye bhi ho sakta hai wo ho be-niyaz-e-ashiqan
lab-kusha hon ya ki chup hon dekh kar us ki taraf
hai 'fahim' apne qabile ka samajhta hai ziyan
