ek hasin ganw tha kanar-e-ab
kitna shadab tha dayar-e-ab
kya ajab be-niyaz basti thi
muflisi mein bhi ek masti thi
kitne dildar the hamare dost
wo bichaare wo be-sahaare dost
apna ek daera tha dharti thi
zindagi chin se guzarti thi
qissa jab yusuf o zuleKHa ka
miThe miThe suron mein chhiDta tha
qasr shahon ke hilne lagte the
chaak sinon ke silne lagte the
