wo buton ne Dale hain waswase ki dilon se KHauf-e-KHuda gaya
wo paDi hain roz qayamaten ki KHayal-e-roz-e-jaza gaya
jo nafas tha KHar-e-gulu bana jo uThe the hath lahu hue
wo nashat-e-ah-e-sahr gai wo waqar-e-dast-e-dua gaya
na wo rang fasl-e-bahaar ka na rawish wo abr-e-bahaar ki
jis ada se yar the aashna wo mizaj-e-baad-e-saba gaya
jo talab pe ahd-e-wafa kiya to wo aabru-e-wafa gai
sar-e-am jab hue muddai to sawab-e-sidq-o-safa gaya
abhi baadban ko tah rakho abhi muztarib hai ruKH-e-hawa
kisi raste mein hai muntazir wo sukun jo aa ke chala gaya
