wahime ki ye mashq-e-paiham kya
yas o ummid shadi o gham kya
tum ko is raaz-e-ma-siwa ki qasam
tum pe chhaya hua hai aalam kya
un ke aage gham ek fasana hai
un se kahiye fasana-e-gham kya
aish-e-rafta ki yaad se hasil
qissa-e-KHuld o zikr-e-adam kya
ta-kuja aah-e-zer-e-lab aaKHir
intiha-e-sukut barham kya
gham-e-duniya ba-qadr-e-zarf nahin
hasrat-e-besh o shikwa-e-kam kya
soz-e-gham ki haden nahin miltin
bujh gai aatish-e-jahannam kya
garm-o-sard-e-zamana jo kuchh ho
warna firdaus kya jahannam kya
maut jis ki hayat ho 'fani'
us shahid-e-sitam ka matam kya
