jaan-ba-lab tishna-dahan jate rahe
saqiyan-e-bazm-e-jam aate rahe
ek gham-e-dushman hi duniya mein na tha
aur bhi gham the jo taDpate rahe
dard-e-dil baDhta gaya hai jis qadar
chaara-jui dost farmate rahe
zauq-e-azadi mein jo the jaan-ba-lab
aise qaidi jaan se jate rahe
