kabhi to sochna tum un udas aankhon ka
ye ratjagon mein ghiri mahw-e-yas aankhon ka
main ghar gai thi kahin wahshaton ke jangal mein
tha ek hujum mere aas pas aankhon ka
barahnagi tere andar kahin panapti hai
libas DhunD koi be-libas aankhon ka
tumhaare hijr ka mausam hi ras aaya mujhe
yahi tha ek tabiat-shanas aankhon ka
usi ki nazr sabhi ratjage sabhi ninden
aur us ki aankhon ke nam iqtibas aankhon ka
paDi rahe teri taswir samne yunhi
ye zar khila rahe aankhon ke pas aankhon ka
KHayal tha ki wo abr is taraf se guzrega
so ye bhi 'jaanan' tha wahm-o-qayas aankhon ka
