us ko takte bhi nahin the pahle
hum bhi KHuddar the kitne pahle
us ko dekha to ye mahsus hua
hum bahut dur the KHud se pahle
dil nazar aate hain ab aankhon mein
kitne gahre the ye chashme pahle
khoe rahte hain ab us ki dhun mein
jis ko takte na the pahle pahle
hum ko pahchan liya karte the
ye tere shahr ke raste pahle
ab ujalon mein bhaTak jate hain
wo samjhate the andhere pahle
ab na alfaz na ehsas na yaad
itne muflis na hue the pahle
rang ke jal mein aate na kabhi
pas se dekh jo lete pahle
garm hangama-e-kaghaz hai yahan
be-mahak phul kahan the pahle
