| Description | The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences & Technology possess a distinct position, as the first ever Urdu language University. The official language of teaching and general communication is Urdu. It came into being in the year 2002 under the Ordinance No. CXIX propagated by the President of Pakistan. The Federal Urdu University became official in November 2002 after it took over federal college named as Federal Urdu Science College established in 1949 by Dr. Abdul Haq, Baba-e-Urdu. The motto of the University is to promote Urdu as teaching language. The basic objective of this University is to develop Urdu language as education medium and to develop English language communication skills in the students to compete at international level. The key objective is to make available the modern and advanced education in Arts, Science, and Information Technology to those who are unable to afford. |
