jis se ye tabiat baDi mushkil se lagi thi
dekha to wo taswir har ek dil se lagi thi
tanhai mein rote hain ki yun dil ko sukun ho
ye choT kisi sahab-e-mahfil se lagi thi
ai dil tere aashob ne phir hashr jagaya
bedard abhi aankh bhi mushkil se lagi thi
KHilqat ka ajab haal tha us ku-e-sitam mein
sae ki tarah daman-e-qatil se lagi thi
utra bhi to kab dard ka chaDhta hua dariya
jab kashti-e-jaan maut ke sahil se lagi thi
