kya aise kam-suKHan se koi guftugu kare
jo mustaqil sukut se dil ko lahu kare
ab to hamein bhi tark-e-marasim ka dukh nahin
par dil ye chahta hai ki aaghaz tu kare
tere baghair bhi to ghanimat hai zindagi
KHud ko ganwa ke kaun teri justuju kare
ab to ye aarzu hai ki wo zaKHm khaiye
ta-zindagi ye dil na koi aarzu kare
tujh ko bhula ke dil hai wo sharminda-e-nazar
ab koi hadsa hi tere ru-ba-ru kare
chup-chap apni aag mein jalte raho 'faraaz'
duniya to arz-e-haal se be-abru kare
