sae chamak rahe the siyasat ki baat thi
aankhen khulin to subh ke parde mein raat thi
main to samajh raha tha ki mujh par hai mehrban
diwar ki ye chhanw to suraj ke sath thi
kis darja haul-nak hai yaro shuur-e-zat
kitni hasin pahle yahi kaenat thi
teri jafa to morid-e-ilzam thi na hai
meri wafa bhi koshish-e-takmil-e-zat thi
