dasht-e-wahshat ko faqat qais hi bhaya hua hai
hum ne bhi ishq ka aazar uThaya hua hai
sar-kashi mauj-e-hawa ki, ye kahan samjhegi
kis mashaqqat se diya hum ne jalaya hua hai
kaise gulfam kahun, kaise sitara samjhun
wo badan aur hi miTTi ka banaya hua hai
mauj-e-KHushbu ki tarah hath na aane wale
hum ne ek sath bahut waqt bitaya hua hai
aap ise kasa-e-tashhir samajh baiThe hain
hum ne ek umr se ye zaKHm chhupaya hua hai
kash wo chashm-e-gurezan bhi kabhi jaan sake
hum ko kis KHwab ki wahshat ne jagaya hua hai
