sitam-ijad rahoge sitam-ijad rahe
is mein ab shad rahe ya koi nashad rahe
aap ne ahd kiya hai meri gham-KHwari ka
ab ijazat ho to ye ahd mujhe yaad rahe
gar meri tauba ko maqbul shikast-e-tauba
meri tadbir mein taqdir ki uftad rahe
qaid-e-hasti se bahut tum ne kiye hain aazad
koi is qaid-e-mohabbat ki bhi miad rahe
wo KHudai ho to ho shan-e-tajalli to nahin
jis tajalli mein nigahon ko KHuda yaad rahe
zulm hai tujh se ba-taqrib-e-takalluf mansub
warna taqdir-e-wafa ye hai ki barbaad rahe
dil-e-abaad ka 'fani' koi mafhum nahin
han magar jis mein koi hasrat-e-barbaad rahe
