Surah Al-Ahqaf Ayat/verse 15 with Urdu & English Translation - 46:15

وَوَصَّيۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ بِوَالِدَيۡهِ اِحۡسٰنًا‌ؕ حَمَلَتۡهُ اُمُّهٗ كُرۡهًا وَّوَضَعَتۡهُ كُرۡهًا‌ؕ وَّحَمۡلُهٗ وَفِصٰلُهٗ ثَلٰثُوۡنَ شَهۡرًا‌ؕ حَتّٰٓى اِذَا بَلَغَ اَشُدَّهٗ وَبَلَغَ اَرۡبَعِيۡنَ سَنَةً  ۙ قَالَ رَبِّ اَوۡزِعۡنِىۡۤ اَنۡ اَشۡكُرَ نِعۡمَتَكَ الَّتِىۡۤ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلٰى وَالِدَىَّ وَاَنۡ اَعۡمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرۡضٰٮهُ وَاَصۡلِحۡ لِىۡ فِىۡ ذُرِّيَّتِىۡ  ؕۚ اِنِّىۡ تُبۡتُ اِلَيۡكَ وَاِنِّىۡ مِنَ الۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَ‏﴿۱۵﴾

اور ہم Ù†Û’ انسان Ú©Ùˆ اپنے والدین Ú©Û’ ساتھ بھلائی کرنے کا Ø­Ú©Ù… دیا۔ اس Ú©ÛŒ ماں Ù†Û’ اس Ú©Ùˆ تکلیف سے پیٹ میں رکھا اور تکلیف ہی سے جنا۔ اور اس کا پیٹ میں رہنا اور دودھ چھوڑنا ڈھائی برس میں ہوتا ہے۔ یہاں تک کہ جب خوب جوان ہوتا ہے اور چالیس برس Ú©Ùˆ پہنچ جاتا ہے تو کہتا ہے کہ اے میرے پروردگار مجھے توفیق دے کہ تو Ù†Û’ جو احسان مجھ پر اور میرے ماں باپ پر کئے ہیں ان کا شکر گزار ہوں اور یہ کہ نیک عمل کروں جن Ú©Ùˆ تو پسند کرے۔ اور میرے لئے میری اولاد میں صلاح (وتقویٰ) دے۔ میں تیری طرف رجوع کرتا ہوں اور میں فرمانبرداروں میں ہوں﴿۱۵﴾

And We have commended unto man kindness toward parents. His mother beareth him with reluctance, and bringeth him forth with reluctance, and the bearing of him and the weaning of him is thirty months, till, when he attaineth full strength and reacheth forty years, he saith: My Lord! Arouse me that I may give thanks for the favour wherewith Thou hast favoured me and my parents, and that I may do right acceptable unto Thee. And be gracious unto me in the matter of my seed. Lo! I have turned unto Thee repentant, and lo! I am of those who surrender (unto Thee).﴾15﴿
