اقۡرَاۡ بÙاسۡم٠رَبّÙÙƒÙŽ الَّذÙÙ‰Û¡ خَلَقَ‌ۚ†﴿۱﴾
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, ﴾1﴿
خَلَقَ الۡاÙنۡسَانَ Ù…ÙÙ†Û¡ عَلَقÙ‌ۚ†﴿۲﴾
Createth man from a clot. ﴾2﴿
اقۡرَاۡ وَرَبّÙÙƒÙŽ الۡاَكۡرَمÙۙ†﴿۳﴾
Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, ﴾3﴿
الَّذÙÙ‰Û¡ عَلَّمَ بÙالۡقَلَمÙۙ†﴿۴﴾
Who teacheth by the pen, ﴾4﴿
عَلَّمَ الۡاÙنۡسَانَ مَا Ù„ÙŽÙ…Û¡ يَعۡلَمۡؕ†﴿۵﴾
Teacheth man that which he knew not. ﴾5﴿
كَلَّاۤ اÙنَّ الۡاÙنۡسَانَ لَيَطۡغٰٓىۙ†﴿۶﴾
Nay, but verily man is rebellious ﴾6﴿
اَنۡ رَّاٰه٠اسۡتَغۡنٰىؕ†﴿۷﴾
That he thinketh himself independent! ﴾7﴿
اÙنَّ اÙلٰى رَبّÙÙƒÙŽ الرّÙجۡعٰىؕ†﴿۸﴾
Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. ﴾8﴿
اَرَءَيۡتَ الَّذÙÙ‰Û¡ يَنۡهٰىؕ†﴿۹﴾
Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth ﴾9﴿
عَبۡدًا اÙذَا صَلّٰىؕ†﴿۱۰﴾
A slave when he prayeth? ﴾10﴿
اَرَءَيۡتَ اÙÙ†Û¡ كَانَ عَلَى الۡهÙدٰٓىۙ†﴿۱۱﴾
Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) ﴾11﴿
اَوۡ اَمَرَ بÙالتَّقۡوٰىۙ†﴿۱۲﴾
Or enjoineth piety? ﴾12﴿
اَرَءَيۡتَ اÙÙ†Û¡ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىؕ†﴿۱۳﴾
Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? ﴾13﴿
اَلَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡ بÙاَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَرٰىؕ†﴿۱۴﴾
Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? ﴾14﴿
كَلَّا لَٮٕÙÙ†Û¡ لَّمۡ يَنۡتَهÙ ۙ لَنَسۡÙَعًۢا بÙالنَّاصÙÙŠÙŽØ©Ùۙ†﴿۱۵﴾
Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - ﴾15﴿
نَاصÙيَة٠كَاذÙبَة٠خَاطÙئَةÙ‌ۚ†﴿۱۶﴾
The lying, sinful forelock - ﴾16﴿
Ùَلۡيَدۡع٠نَادÙيَهٗۙ†﴿۱۷﴾
Then let him call upon his henchmen! ﴾17﴿
سَنَدۡع٠الزَّبَانÙيَةَۙ†﴿۱۸﴾
We will call the guards of hell. ﴾18﴿
كَلَّا ؕ لَا تÙØ·Ùعۡه٠وَاسۡجÙدۡ وَاقۡتَرÙبْ۩†﴿۱۹﴾
Nay, Obey not thou him. But prostrate thyself, and draw near (unto Allah). ﴾19﴿
