قفس کی تیلیوں سے لے کے شاخ آشیاں تک ہے

پردے اٹھے ہوئے بھی ہیں ان کی ادھر نظر بھی ہے

نہ تو اپنے گھر میں قرار ہے نہ تری گلی میں قیام ہے

نہ سنو میرے نالے ہیں درد بھرے دار و اثرے آہ سحرے

نہ محراب حرم سمجھے نہ جانے طاق بت خانہ

نہ کنشت و کلیسا سے کام ہمیں در دیر نہ بیت حرم سے غرض

مجھ سے چھپ کر مرے ارمانوں کو برباد نہ کر

مجھے شکوہ نہیں برباد رکھ برباد رہنے دے

مجھے جلووں کی اس کے تمیز ہو کیا میرے ہوش و حواس بچا ہی نہیں

میں غش میں ہوں مجھے اتنا نہیں ہوش

گل کا کیا جو چاک گریباں بہار نے
