وہ زمانہ ہے کہ اب کچھ نہیں دیوانے میں
صفحۂ زیست جب پڑھوں گا تمہیں
پہلے ہم اشک تھے پھر دیدۂ نم ناک ہوئے
مرے لیے ترا ہونا اہم زیادہ ہے
میں تری مانتا لیکن جو مرا دل ہے نا
میں نہ ہونے سے ہوا یعنی بڑی تقصیر کی
کوئی گماں ہوں کوئی یقیں ہوں کہ میں نہیں ہوں
خواب کا اذن تھا تعبیر اجازت تھی مجھے
کل خواب میں اک پری ملی تھی
عشق سے بھاگ کے جایا بھی نہیں جا سکتا
ہوئی غزل ہی نہ کچھ بات بن سکی ہم سے
ہمیں نہ دیکھیے ہم غم کے مارے جیسے ہیں
ہماری آنکھیں بھی صاحب عجیب کتنی ہیں
ہمارا عشق سلامت ہے یعنی ہم ابھی ہیں
اک رات میں سو نہیں سکا تھا
اک اشک بہا ہوگا
دونوں کے جو درمیاں خلا ہے
دل کوئی پھول نہیں اور ستارہ بھی نہیں
بے بسی ایسی بھی ہوتی ہے بھلا
اے میاں کون یہ کہتا ہے محبت کی ہے
