وَالصّٰٓفّٰتِ صَفًّاۙ‏ ﴿۱﴾

By those who set the ranks in battle order ﴾1﴿

فَالزّٰجِرٰتِ زَجۡرًاۙ‏ ﴿۲﴾

And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof ﴾2﴿

فَالتّٰلِيٰتِ ذِكۡرًاۙ‏ ﴿۳﴾

And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, ﴾3﴿

اِنَّ اِلٰهَكُمۡ لَوَاحِدٌؕ‏ ﴿۴﴾

Lo! thy Lord is surely One; ﴾4﴿

رَّبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الۡمَشَارِقِؕ‏ ﴿۵﴾

Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. ﴾5﴿

اِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَآءَ الدُّنۡيَا بِزِيۡنَةِ اۨلۡكَوَاكِبِۙ‏ ﴿۶﴾

Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; ﴾6﴿

وَحِفۡظًا مِّنۡ كُلِّ شَيۡطٰنٍ مَّارِدٍ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۷﴾

With security from every froward devil. ﴾7﴿

لَّا يَسَّمَّعُوۡنَ اِلَى الۡمَلَاِ الۡاَعۡلٰى وَيُقۡذَفُوۡنَ مِنۡ كُلِّ جَانِبٍۖ‏ ﴿۸﴾

They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, ﴾8﴿

دُحُوۡرًا وَّلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ وَّاصِبٌۙ‏ ﴿۹﴾

Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; ﴾9﴿

اِلَّا Ù…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ خَطِفَ الۡخَطۡفَةَ فَاَتۡبَعَهٗ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ‏ ﴿۱۰﴾

Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. ﴾10﴿

فَاسۡتَفۡتِهِمۡ اَهُمۡ اَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا اَمۡ مَّنۡ خَلَقۡنَاؕ اِنَّا خَلَقۡنٰهُمۡ مِّنۡ طِيۡنٍ لَّازِبٍ‏ ﴿۱۱﴾

Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. ﴾11﴿

بَلۡ عَجِبۡتَ وَيَسۡخَرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۲﴾

Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock ﴾12﴿

وَاِذَا ذُكِّرُوۡا لَا يَذۡكُرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۳﴾

And heed not when they are reminded, ﴾13﴿

وَاِذَا رَاَوۡا اٰيَةً يَّسۡتَسۡخِرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۴﴾

And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. ﴾14﴿

وَقَالُوۡۤا اِنۡ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا سِحۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ‌ ۖ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۵﴾

And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; ﴾15﴿

ءَاِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُـنَّا تُرَابًا وَّعِظٰمًا ءَاِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوۡثُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۶﴾

When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? ﴾16﴿

اَوَاٰبَآؤُنَا الۡاَوَّلُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۷﴾

And our forefathers? ﴾17﴿

قُلۡ نَعَمۡ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ داخِرُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۸﴾

Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. ﴾18﴿

فَاِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجۡرَةٌ وَّاحِدَةٌ فَاِذَا هُمۡ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۹﴾

There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, ﴾19﴿

وَقَالُوۡا يٰوَيۡلَنَا هٰذَا يَوۡمُ الدِّيۡنِ‏ ﴿۲۰﴾

And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. ﴾20﴿

هٰذَا يَوۡمُ الۡفَصۡلِ الَّذِىۡ كُنۡتُمۡ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۱﴾

This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. ﴾21﴿

اُحۡشُرُوۡا الَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا وَاَزۡوَاجَهُمۡ وَمَا كَانُوۡا يَعۡبُدُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۲۲﴾

(And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship ﴾22﴿

مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ فَاهۡدُوۡهُمۡ اِلٰى صِرَاطِ الۡجَحِيۡمِ‏ ﴿۲۳﴾

Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; ﴾23﴿

وَقِفُوۡهُمۡ‌ اِنَّهُمۡ مَّسْـُٔـوۡلُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۲۴﴾

And stop them, for they must be questioned. ﴾24﴿

مَا لَـكُمۡ لَا تَنَاصَرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۵﴾

What aileth you that ye help not one another? ﴾25﴿

بَلۡ هُمُ الۡيَوۡمَ مُسۡتَسۡلِمُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۶﴾

Nay, but this day they make full submission. ﴾26﴿

وَاَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلٰى بَعۡضٍ يَّتَسَآءَلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۷﴾

And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. ﴾27﴿

قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّكُمۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تَاۡتُوۡنَنَا عَنِ الۡيَمِيۡنِ‏ ﴿۲۸﴾

They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). ﴾28﴿

قَالُوۡا بَل لَّمۡ تَكُوۡنُوۡا مُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۲۹﴾

They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. ﴾29﴿

وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ سُلۡطٰنِ‌ۚ بَلۡ كُنۡتُمۡ قَوۡمًا طٰغِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۰﴾

We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. ﴾30﴿

فَحَقَّ عَلَيۡنَا قَوۡلُ رَبِّنَآ   ۖ اِنَّا لَذَآٮِٕقُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۱﴾

Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). ﴾31﴿

فَاَغۡوَيۡنٰكُمۡ اِنَّا كُنَّا غٰوِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۲﴾

Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. ﴾32﴿

فَاِنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ فِىۡ الۡعَذَابِ مُشۡتَرِكُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۳﴾

Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. ﴾33﴿

اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِالۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۴﴾

Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. ﴾34﴿

اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡۤا اِذَا قِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُۙ يَسۡتَكۡبِرُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۳۵﴾

For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful ﴾35﴿

وَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ اَٮِٕنَّا لَتارِكُوۡۤا اٰلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجۡـنُوۡنٍؕ‏ ﴿۳۶﴾

And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? ﴾36﴿

بَلۡ جَآءَ بِالۡحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۷﴾

Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). ﴾37﴿

اِنَّكُمۡ لَذَآٮِٕقُوۡا الۡعَذَابِ الۡاَلِيۡمِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۳۸﴾

Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - ﴾38﴿

وَمَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ اِلَّا مَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۳۹﴾

Ye are requited naught save what ye did - ﴾39﴿

اِلَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الۡمُخۡلَصِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۴۰﴾

Save single-minded slaves of Allah; ﴾40﴿

اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ لَهُمۡ رِزۡقٌ مَّعۡلُوۡمٌۙ‏ ﴿۴۱﴾

For them there is a known provision, ﴾41﴿

فَوَاكِهُ‌ۚ وَهُمۡ مُّكۡرَمُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۴۲﴾

Fruits. And they will be honoured ﴾42﴿

فِىۡ جَنّٰتِ النَّعِيۡمِۙ‏ ﴿۴۳﴾

In the Gardens of delight, ﴾43﴿

عَلٰى سُرُرٍ مُّتَقٰبِلِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۴۴﴾

On couches facing one another; ﴾44﴿

يُطَافُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ بِكَاۡسٍ مِّنۡ مَّعِيۡنٍۢ ۙ‏ ﴿۴۵﴾

A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, ﴾45﴿

بَيۡضَآءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشّٰرِبِيۡنَ‌ ۖ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۴۶﴾

White, delicious to the drinkers, ﴾46﴿

لَا فِيۡهَا غَوۡلٌ وَّلَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا يُنۡزَفُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۴۷﴾

Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. ﴾47﴿

وَعِنۡدَهُمۡ قٰصِرٰتُ الطَّرۡفِ عِيۡنٌۙ‏ ﴿۴۸﴾

And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, ﴾48﴿

كَاَنَّهُنَّ بَيۡضٌ مَّكۡنُوۡنٌ‏ ﴿۴۹﴾

(Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). ﴾49﴿

فَاَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلٰى بَعۡضٍ يَّتَسَآءَلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۵۰﴾

And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. ﴾50﴿

قَالَ قَآٮِٕلٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ اِنِّىۡ كَانَ لِىۡ قَرِيۡنٌۙ‏ ﴿۵۱﴾

A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade ﴾51﴿

يَقُوۡلُ اَٮِٕنَّكَ لَمِنَ الۡمُصَدِّقِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۵۲﴾

Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? ﴾52﴿

ءَاِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَّعِظَامًا ءَاِنَّا لَمَدِيۡنُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۵۳﴾

Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? ﴾53﴿

قَالَ Ù‡ÙŽÙ„Û¡ اَنۡتُمۡ مُّطَّلِعُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۵۴﴾

He saith: Will ye look? ﴾54﴿

فَاطَّلَعَ فَرَاٰهُ فِىۡ سَوَآءِ الۡجَحِيۡمِ‏ ﴿۵۵﴾

Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. ﴾55﴿

قَالَ تَاللّٰهِ اِنۡ كِدتَّ لَـتُرۡدِيۡنِۙ‏ ﴿۵۶﴾

He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, ﴾56﴿

وَلَوۡلَا نِعۡمَةُ رَبِّىۡ لَـكُنۡتُ مِنَ الۡمُحۡضَرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۵۷﴾

And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). ﴾57﴿

اَفَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَيِّتِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۵۸﴾

Are we then not to die ﴾58﴿

اِلَّا مَوۡتَتَنَا الۡاُوۡلٰى وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۵۹﴾

Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? ﴾59﴿

اِنَّ هٰذَا لَهُوَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡعَظِيۡمُ‏ ﴿۶۰﴾

Lo! this is the supreme triumph. ﴾60﴿

لِمِثۡلِ هٰذَا فَلۡيَعۡمَلِ الۡعٰمِلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۶۱﴾

For the like of this, then, let the workers work. ﴾61﴿

اَذٰلِكَ خَيۡرٌ نُّزُلاً اَمۡ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّوۡمِ‏ ﴿۶۲﴾

Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum? ﴾62﴿

اِنَّا جَعَلۡنٰهَا فِتۡنَةً لِّلظّٰلِمِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۶۳﴾

Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. ﴾63﴿

اِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخۡرُجُ فِىۡۤ اَصۡلِ الۡجَحِيۡمِۙ‏ ﴿۶۴﴾

Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. ﴾64﴿

طَلۡعُهَا كَاَنَّهٗ رُءُوۡسُ الشَّيٰطِيۡنِ‏ ﴿۶۵﴾

Its crop is as it were the heads of devils ﴾65﴿

فَاِنَّهُمۡ لَاٰكِلُوۡنَ مِنۡهَا فَمٰلِئُوۡنَ مِنۡهَا الۡبُطُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۶۶﴾

And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. ﴾66﴿

ثُمَّ اِنَّ لَهُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا لَشَوۡبًا مِّنۡ حَمِيۡمٍ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۶۷﴾

And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water ﴾67﴿

ثُمَّ اِنَّ مَرۡجِعَهُمۡ لَا۟اِلَى الۡجَحِيۡمِ‏ ﴿۶۸﴾

And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. ﴾68﴿

اِنَّهُمۡ اَلۡفَوۡا اٰبَآءَهُمۡ ضَآلِّيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۶۹﴾

They indeed found their fathers astray, ﴾69﴿

فَهُمۡ عَلٰٓى اٰثٰرِهِمۡ يُهۡرَعُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۷۰﴾

But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. ﴾70﴿

وَلَـقَدۡ ضَلَّ قَبۡلَهُمۡ اَكۡثَرُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۷۱﴾

And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, ﴾71﴿

وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا فِيۡهِمۡ مُّنۡذِرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۷۲﴾

And verily We sent among them warners. ﴾72﴿

فَانْظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الۡمُنۡذَرِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۷۳﴾

Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, ﴾73﴿

اِلَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الۡمُخۡلَصِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۷۴﴾

Save single-minded slaves of Allah. ﴾74﴿

وَلَقَدۡ نَادٰٮنَا نُوۡحٌ فَلَنِعۡمَ الۡمُجِيۡبُوۡنَ‌ۖ‏ ﴿۷۵﴾

And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer ﴾75﴿

وَنَجَّيۡنٰهُ وَاَهۡلَهٗ مِنَ الۡكَرۡبِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ‌ۖ‏ ﴿۷۶﴾

And We saved him and his household from the great distress, ﴾76﴿

وَجَعَلۡنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهٗ هُمُ الۡبٰقِيۡنَ‌ۖ‏ ﴿۷۷﴾

And made his seed the survivors, ﴾77﴿

وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِىۡ الۡاٰخِرِيۡنَ‌ۖ‏ ﴿۷۸﴾

And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): ﴾78﴿

سَلٰمٌ عَلٰى نُوۡحٍ فِىۡ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۷۹﴾

Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! ﴾79﴿

اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِىۡ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۸۰﴾

Lo! thus do We reward the good. ﴾80﴿

اِنَّهٗ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۸۱﴾

Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. ﴾81﴿

ثُمَّ اَغۡرَقۡنَا الۡاٰخَرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۸۲﴾

Then We did drown the others. ﴾82﴿

وَاِنَّ مِنۡ شِيۡعَتِهٖ لَاِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ‌ۘ‏ ﴿۸۳﴾

And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham ﴾83﴿

اِذۡ جَآءَ رَبَّهٗ بِقَلۡبٍ سَلِيۡمٍ‏ ﴿۸۴﴾

When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; ﴾84﴿

اِذۡ قَالَ لِاَبِيۡهِ وَقَوۡمِهٖ مَاذَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۸۵﴾

When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? ﴾85﴿

اَٮِٕفۡكًا اٰلِهَةً دُوۡنَ اللّٰهِ تُرِيۡدُوۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۸۶﴾

Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? ﴾86﴿

فَمَا ظَنُّكُمۡ بِرَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۸۷﴾

What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? ﴾87﴿

فَنَظَرَ نَظۡرَةً فِىۡ النُّجُوۡمِۙ‏ ﴿۸۸﴾

And he glanced a glance at the stars ﴾88﴿

فَقَالَ اِنِّىۡ سَقِيۡمٌ‏ ﴿۸۹﴾

Then said: Lo! I feel sick! ﴾89﴿

فَتَوَلَّوۡا عَنۡهُ مُدۡبِرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۹۰﴾

And they turned their backs and went away from him. ﴾90﴿

فَرَاغَ اِلٰٓى اٰلِهَتِهِمۡ فَقَالَ اَلَا تَاۡكُلُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۹۱﴾

Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? ﴾91﴿

مَا لَـكُمۡ لَا تَنۡطِقُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۹۲﴾

What aileth you that ye speak not? ﴾92﴿

فَرَاغَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ضَرۡبًۢا بِالۡيَمِيۡنِ‏ ﴿۹۳﴾

Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. ﴾93﴿

فَاَقۡبَلُوۡۤا اِلَيۡهِ يَزِفُّوۡنَ‏ ﴿۹۴﴾

And (his people) came toward him, hastening. ﴾94﴿

قَالَ اَتَعۡبُدُوۡنَ مَا تَنۡحِتُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۹۵﴾

He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve ﴾95﴿

وَاللّٰهُ خَلَقَكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۹۶﴾

When Allah hath created you and what ye make? ﴾96﴿

قَالُوۡا ابۡنُوۡا لَهٗ بُنۡيَانًا فَاَلۡقُوۡهُ فِىۡ الۡجَحِيۡمِ‏ ﴿۹۷﴾

They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. ﴾97﴿

فَاَرَادُوۡا بِهٖ كَيۡدًا فَجَعَلۡنٰهُمُ الۡاَسۡفَلِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۹۸﴾

And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. ﴾98﴿

وَقَالَ اِنِّىۡ ذَاهِبٌ اِلٰى رَبِّىۡ سَيَهۡدِيۡنِ‏ ﴿۹۹﴾

And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. ﴾99﴿

رَبِّ هَبۡ لِىۡ مِنَ الصّٰلِحِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۰۰﴾

My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. ﴾100﴿

فَبَشَّرۡنٰهُ بِغُلٰمٍ حَلِيۡمٍ‏ ﴿۱۰۱﴾

So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. ﴾101﴿

فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعۡىَ قَالَ يٰبُنَىَّ اِنِّىۡۤ اَرٰى فِىۡ الۡمَنَامِ اَنِّىۡۤ اَذۡبَحُكَ فَانْظُرۡ مَاذَا تَرٰى‌ؕ قَالَ يٰۤاَبَتِ افۡعَلۡ مَا تُؤۡمَرُ‌ سَتَجِدُنِىۡۤ اِنۡ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ مِنَ الصّٰبِرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۰۲﴾

And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. ﴾102﴿

فَلَمَّاۤ اَسۡلَمَا وَتَلَّهٗ لِلۡجَبِيۡنِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۰۳﴾

Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, ﴾103﴿

وَنَادَيۡنٰهُ اَنۡ يّٰۤاِبۡرٰهِيۡمُۙ‏ ﴿۱۰۴﴾

We called unto him: O Abraham! ﴾104﴿

قَدۡ صَدَّقۡتَ الرُّءۡيَآ ‌ ‌ۚ اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِىۡ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۰۵﴾

Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. ﴾105﴿

اِنَّ هٰذَا لَهُوَ الۡبَلٰٓؤُا الۡمُبِيۡنُ‏ ﴿۱۰۶﴾

Lo! that verily was a clear test. ﴾106﴿

وَفَدَيۡنٰهُ بِذِبۡحٍ عَظِيۡمٍ‏ ﴿۱۰۷﴾

Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. ﴾107﴿

وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِىۡ الۡاٰخِرِيۡنَ‌ۖ‏ ﴿۱۰۸﴾

And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): ﴾108﴿

سَلٰمٌ عَلٰٓى اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ‏ ﴿۱۰۹﴾

Peace be unto Abraham! ﴾109﴿

كَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِىۡ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۱۰﴾

Thus do We reward the good. ﴾110﴿

اِنَّهٗ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۱۱﴾

Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. ﴾111﴿

وَبَشَّرۡنٰهُ بِاِسۡحٰقَ نَبِيًّا مِّنَ الصّٰلِحِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۱۲﴾

And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. ﴾112﴿

وَبٰرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ وَعَلٰٓى اِسۡحٰقَ‌ؕ ÙˆÙŽ مِنۡ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحۡسِنٌ وَّظَالِمٌ لِّنَفۡسِهٖ مُبِيۡنٌ‌‏ ﴿۱۱۳﴾

And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. ﴾113﴿

وَلَقَدۡ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوۡسٰى وَهٰرُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۱۴﴾

And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, ﴾114﴿

وَنَجَّيۡنٰهُمَا وَقَوۡمَهُمَا مِنَ الۡكَرۡبِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۱۵﴾

And saved them and their people from the great distress, ﴾115﴿

وَنَصَرۡنٰهُمۡ فَكَانُوۡا هُمُ الۡغٰلِبِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۱۶﴾

And helped them so that they became the victors. ﴾116﴿

وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُمَا الۡكِتٰبَ الۡمُسۡتَبِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۱۷﴾

And We gave them the clear Scripture ﴾117﴿

وَهَدَيۡنٰهُمَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِيۡمَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۱۸﴾

And showed them the right path. ﴾118﴿

وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمَا فِىۡ الۡاٰخِرِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۱۹﴾

And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): ﴾119﴿

سَلٰمٌ عَلٰى مُوۡسٰى وَهٰرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۲۰﴾

Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! ﴾120﴿

اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِىۡ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۲۱﴾

Lo! thus do We reward the good. ﴾121﴿

اِنَّهُمَا مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۲۲﴾

Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. ﴾122﴿

وَاِنَّ اِلۡيَاسَ لَمِنَ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۲۳﴾

And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), ﴾123﴿

اِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهٖۤ اَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۲۴﴾

When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? ﴾124﴿

اَتَدۡعُوۡنَ بَعۡلاً وَّتَذَرُوۡنَ اَحۡسَنَ الۡخَـالِقِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۲۵﴾

Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, ﴾125﴿

اللّٰهَ رَبَّكُمۡ وَرَبَّ اٰبَآٮِٕكُمُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۲۶﴾

Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? ﴾126﴿

فَكَذَّبُوۡهُ فَاِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۲۷﴾

But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) ﴾127﴿

اِلَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الۡمُخۡلَصِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۲۸﴾

Save single-minded slaves of Allah. ﴾128﴿

وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِىۡ الۡاٰخِرِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۲۹﴾

And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): ﴾129﴿

سَلٰمٌ عَلٰٓى اِلۡ يَاسِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۳۰﴾

Peace be unto Elias! ﴾130﴿

اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِىۡ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۳۱﴾

Lo! thus do We reward the good. ﴾131﴿

اِنَّهٗ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۳۲﴾

Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. ﴾132﴿

وَاِنَّ لُوۡطًا لَّمِنَ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۳۳﴾

And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). ﴾133﴿

اِذۡ نَجَّيۡنٰهُ وَاَهۡلَهٗۤ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۳۴﴾

When We saved him and his household, every one, ﴾134﴿

اِلَّا عَجُوۡزًا فِىۡ الۡغٰبِرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۳۵﴾

Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; ﴾135﴿

ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا الۡاٰخَرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۳۶﴾

Then We destroyed the others. ﴾136﴿

وَاِنَّكُمۡ لَتَمُرُّوۡنَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ مُّصۡبِحِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۳۷﴾

And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning ﴾137﴿

وَبِالَّيۡلِ‌ؕ اَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ‌‏ ﴿۱۳۸﴾

And at night-time; have ye then no sense? ﴾138﴿

وَاِنَّ يُوۡنُسَ لَمِنَ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۳۹﴾

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) ﴾139﴿

اِذۡ اَبَقَ اِلَى الۡفُلۡكِ الۡمَشۡحُوۡنِۙ‏ ﴿۱۴۰﴾

When he fled unto the laden ship, ﴾140﴿

فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ الۡمُدۡحَضِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴۱﴾

And then drew lots and was of those rejected; ﴾141﴿

فَالۡتَقَمَهُ الۡحُوۡتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيۡمٌ‏ ﴿۱۴۲﴾

And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; ﴾142﴿

فَلَوۡلَاۤ اَنَّهٗ كَانَ مِنَ الۡمُسَبِّحِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۴۳﴾

And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) ﴾143﴿

لَلَبِثَ فِىۡ بَطۡنِهٖۤ اِلٰى يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴۴﴾

He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; ﴾144﴿

فَنَبَذۡنٰهُ بِالۡعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيۡمٌ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴۵﴾

Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; ﴾145﴿

وَاَنۡۢبَتۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ شَجَرَةً مِّنۡ يَّقۡطِيۡنٍ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴۶﴾

And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; ﴾146﴿

وَاَرۡسَلۡنٰهُ اِلٰى مِائَةِ اَلۡفٍ اَوۡ يَزِيۡدُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴۷﴾

And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more ﴾147﴿

فَاٰمَنُوۡا فَمَتَّعۡنٰهُمۡ اِلٰى حِيۡنٍؕ‏ ﴿۱۴۸﴾

And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. ﴾148﴿

فَاسۡتَفۡتِهِمۡ اَلِرَبِّكَ الۡبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ الۡبَنُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۴۹﴾

Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? ﴾149﴿

اَمۡ خَلَقۡنَا الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةَ اِنَاثًا وَّهُمۡ شٰهِدُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۵۰﴾

Or created We the angels females while they were present? ﴾150﴿

اَلَاۤ اِنَّهُمۡ مِّنۡ اِفۡكِهِمۡ لَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۵۱﴾

Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: ﴾151﴿

وَلَدَ اللّٰهُۙ وَاِنَّهُمۡ لَـكٰذِبُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۵۲﴾

Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. ﴾152﴿

اَصۡطَفَى الۡبَنَاتِ عَلَى الۡبَنِيۡنَؕ‏ ﴿۱۵۳﴾

(And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. ﴾153﴿

مَا لَـكُمۡ كَيۡفَ تَحۡكُمُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۵۴﴾

What aileth you? How judge ye? ﴾154﴿

اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۵۵﴾

Will ye not then reflect? ﴾155﴿

اَمۡ لَـكُمۡ سُلۡطٰنٌ مُّبِيۡنٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۵۶﴾

Or have ye a clear warrant? ﴾156﴿

فَاۡتُوۡا بِكِتٰبِكُمۡ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۵۷﴾

Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. ﴾157﴿

وَجَعَلُوۡا بَيۡنَهٗ وَبَيۡنَ الۡجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ؕ‌ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمَتِ الۡجِنَّةُ اِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۵۸﴾

And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). ﴾158﴿

سُبۡحٰنَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۵۹﴾

Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), ﴾159﴿

اِلَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الۡمُخۡلَصِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۶۰﴾

Save single-minded slaves of Allah. ﴾160﴿

فَاِنَّكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۶۱﴾

Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, ﴾161﴿

مَاۤ اَنۡـتُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ بِفٰتِنِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۶۲﴾

Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. ﴾162﴿

اِلَّا Ù…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ هُوَ صَالِ الۡجَحِيۡمِ‏ ﴿۱۶۳﴾

Save him who is to burn in hell. ﴾163﴿

وَمَا مِنَّاۤ اِلَّا لَهٗ مَقَامٌ مَّعۡلُوۡمٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۶۴﴾

There is not one of us but hath his known position. ﴾164﴿

وَّاِنَّا لَـنَحۡنُ الصَّآفُّوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۶۵﴾

Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, ﴾165﴿

وَاِنَّا لَـنَحۡنُ الۡمُسَبِّحُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۶۶﴾

Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise ﴾166﴿

وَاِنۡ كَانُوۡا لَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۶۷﴾

And indeed they used to say: ﴾167﴿

Ù„ÙŽÙˆÛ¡ اَنَّ عِنۡدَنَا ذِكۡرًا مِّنَ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَۙ‏ ﴿۱۶۸﴾

If we had but a reminder from the men of old ﴾168﴿

لَـكُنَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الۡمُخۡلَصِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۶۹﴾

We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. ﴾169﴿

فَكَفَرُوۡا بِهٖ‌ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۷۰﴾

Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. ﴾170﴿

وَلَقَدۡ سَبَقَتۡ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ ‌ۖ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۷۱﴾

And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) ﴾171﴿

اِنَّهُمۡ لَهُمُ الۡمَنۡصُوۡرُوۡنَ ‏ ﴿۱۷۲﴾

That they verily would be helped, ﴾172﴿

وَاِنَّ جُنۡدَنَا لَهُمُ الۡغٰلِبُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۷۳﴾

And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. ﴾173﴿

فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ حَتّٰى حِيۡنٍۙ‏ ﴿۱۷۴﴾

So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, ﴾174﴿

وَاَبۡصِرۡهُمۡ فَسَوۡفَ يُبۡصِرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۷۵﴾

And watch, for they will (soon) see. ﴾175﴿

اَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۷۶﴾

Would they hasten on Our doom? ﴾176﴿

فَاِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمۡ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ الۡمُنۡذَرِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۷۷﴾

But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. ﴾177﴿

وَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ حَتّٰى حِيۡنٍۙ‏ ﴿۱۷۸﴾

Withdraw from them awhile ﴾178﴿

وَّاَبۡصِرۡ فَسَوۡفَ يُبۡصِرُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۱۷۹﴾

And watch, for they will (soon) see. ﴾179﴿

سُبۡحٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الۡعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۸۰﴾

Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) ﴾180﴿

وَسَلٰمٌ عَلَى الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۸۱﴾

And peace be unto those sent (to warn). ﴾181﴿

وَالۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ‌‏ ﴿۱۸۲﴾

And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! ﴾182﴿
