وَقَالَ لِلَّذِىۡ ظَنَّ اَنَّهٗ نَاجٍ مِّنۡهُمَا اذۡكُرۡنِىۡ عِنۡدَ رَبِّكَ فَاَنۡسٰٮهُ الشَّيۡطٰنُ ذِكۡرَ رَبِّهٖ فَلَبِثَ فِىۡ السِّجۡنِ بِضۡعَ سِنِيۡنَ﴿۴۲﴾
اور دونوں شخصوں میں سے جس کی نسبت (یوسف نے) خیال کیا کہ وہ رہائی پا جائے گا اس سے کہا کہ اپنے آقا سے میرا ذکر بھی کرنا لیکن شیطان نے ان کا اپنے آقا سے ذکر کرنا بھلا دیا اور یوسف کئی برس جیل خانے میں رہے﴿۴۲﴾
And he said unto him of the twain who he knew would be released: Mention me in the presence of thy lord. But Satan caused him to forget to mention it to his lord, so he (Joseph) stayed in prison for some years.﴾42﴿
