وَالنّٰزِعٰتِ غَرۡقًاۙ‏ ﴿۱﴾

By those who drag forth to destruction, ﴾1﴿

وَّالنّٰشِطٰتِ نَشۡطًاۙ‏ ﴿۲﴾

By the meteors rushing, ﴾2﴿

وَّالسّٰبِحٰتِ سَبۡحًاۙ‏ ﴿۳﴾

By the lone stars floating, ﴾3﴿

فَالسّٰبِقٰتِ سَبۡقًاۙ‏ ﴿۴﴾

By the angels hastening, ﴾4﴿

فَالۡمُدَبِّرٰتِ اَمۡرًا‌ۘ‏ ﴿۵﴾

And those who govern the event, ﴾5﴿

ÙŠÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ تَرۡجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُۙ‏ ﴿۶﴾

On the day when the first trump resoundeth. ﴾6﴿

تَتۡبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُؕ‏ ﴿۷﴾

And the second followeth it, ﴾7﴿

قُلُوۡبٌ يَّوۡمَٮِٕذٍ وَّاجِفَةٌۙ‏ ﴿۸﴾

On that day hearts beat painfully ﴾8﴿

اَبۡصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌ‌ۘ‏ ﴿۹﴾

While eyes are downcast ﴾9﴿

يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ ءَاِنَّا لَمَرۡدُوۡدُوۡنَ فِىۡ الۡحَـافِرَةِؕ‏ ﴿۱۰﴾

(Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state ﴾10﴿

ءَاِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَّخِرَةًؕ‏ ﴿۱۱﴾

Even after we are crumbled bones? ﴾11﴿

قَالُوۡا تِلۡكَ اِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ‌ۘ‏ ﴿۱۲﴾

They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. ﴾12﴿

فَاِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجۡرَةٌ وَّاحِدَةٌ  ۙ‏ ﴿۱۳﴾

Surely it will need but one shout, ﴾13﴿

فَاِذَا هُمۡ بِالسَّاهِرَةِؕ‏ ﴿۱۴﴾

And lo! they will be awakened. ﴾14﴿

Ù‡ÙŽÙ„Û¡ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيۡثُ مُوۡسٰى‌ۘ‏ ﴿۱۵﴾

Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? ﴾15﴿

اِذۡ نَادٰٮهُ رَبُّهٗ بِالۡوَادِ الۡمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۶﴾

How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, ﴾16﴿

اِذۡهَبۡ اِلٰى فِرۡعَوۡنَ اِنَّهٗ طَغٰىۖ‏ ﴿۱۷﴾

(Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - ﴾17﴿

فَقُلۡ Ù‡ÙŽÙ„ لَّكَ اِلٰٓى اَنۡ تَزَكّٰىۙ‏ ﴿۱۸﴾

And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? ﴾18﴿

وَاَهۡدِيَكَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَتَخۡشٰى‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۹﴾

Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). ﴾19﴿

فَاَرٰٮهُ الۡاٰيَةَ الۡكُبۡرٰىۖ‏ ﴿۲۰﴾

And he showed him the tremendous token. ﴾20﴿

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصٰىۖ‏ ﴿۲۱﴾

But he denied and disobeyed, ﴾21﴿

ثُمَّ اَدۡبَرَ يَسۡعٰىۖ‏ ﴿۲۲﴾

Then turned he away in haste, ﴾22﴿

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادٰىۖ‏ ﴿۲۳﴾

Then gathered he and summoned ﴾23﴿

فَقَالَ اَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الۡاَعۡلٰىۖ‏ ﴿۲۴﴾

And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." ﴾24﴿

فَاَخَذَهُ اللّٰهُ نَڪَالَ الۡاٰخِرَةِ وَالۡاُوۡلٰىؕ‏ ﴿۲۵﴾

So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. ﴾25﴿

اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةً لِّمَنۡ يَّخۡشٰىؕ‏ ﴿۲۶﴾

Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. ﴾26﴿

ءَاَنۡتُمۡ اَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا اَمِ السَّمَآءُ‌ؕ بَنٰٮهَا‏ ﴿۲۷﴾

Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? ﴾27﴿

رَفَعَ سَمۡكَهَا فَسَوَّٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۲۸﴾

He raised the height thereof and ordered it; ﴾28﴿

ÙˆÙŽ اَغۡطَشَ لَيۡلَهَا وَاَخۡرَجَ ضُحٰٮهَا‏ ﴿۲۹﴾

And He made dark the night thereof, and He brought forth the morn thereof. ﴾29﴿

وَالۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ ذٰلِكَ دَحٰٮهَاؕ‏ ﴿۳۰﴾

And after that He spread the earth, ﴾30﴿

اَخۡرَجَ مِنۡهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرۡعٰٮهَا‏ ﴿۳۱﴾

And produced therefrom the water thereof and the pasture thereof, ﴾31﴿

وَالۡجِبَالَ اَرۡسٰٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۳۲﴾

And He made fast the hills, ﴾32﴿

مَتَاعًا لَّـكُمۡ وَلِاَنۡعَامِكُمۡؕ‏ ﴿۳۳﴾

A provision for you and for your cattle. ﴾33﴿

فَاِذَا جَآءَتِ الطَّآمَّةُ الۡكُبۡرٰىۖ‏ ﴿۳۴﴾

But when the great disaster cometh, ﴾34﴿

ÙŠÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ يَتَذَكَّرُ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَا سَعٰىۙ‏ ﴿۳۵﴾

The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, ﴾35﴿

وَبُرِّزَتِ الۡجَحِيۡمُ لِمَنۡ يَّرٰى‏ ﴿۳۶﴾

And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, ﴾36﴿

فَاَمَّا Ù…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ طَغٰىۙ‏ ﴿۳۷﴾

Then, as for him who rebelled ﴾37﴿

وَاٰثَرَ الۡحَيٰوةَ الدُّنۡيَاۙ‏ ﴿۳۸﴾

And chose the life of the world, ﴾38﴿

فَاِنَّ الۡجَحِيۡمَ هِىَ الۡمَاۡوٰىؕ‏ ﴿۳۹﴾

Lo! hell will be his home. ﴾39﴿

وَاَمَّا Ù…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ ÙˆÙŽ Ù†ÙŽÙ‡ÙŽÙ‰ النَّفۡسَ عَنِ الۡهَوٰىۙ‏ ﴿۴۰﴾

But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust, ﴾40﴿

فَاِنَّ الۡجَـنَّةَ هِىَ الۡمَاۡوٰىؕ‏ ﴿۴۱﴾

Lo! the Garden will be his home. ﴾41﴿

يَسۡـَٔلُوۡنَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ اَيَّانَ مُرۡسٰٮهَاؕ‏ ﴿۴۲﴾

They ask thee of the Hour: when will it come to port? ﴾42﴿

فِيۡمَ اَنۡتَ مِنۡ ذِكۡرٰٮهَاؕ‏ ﴿۴۳﴾

Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? ﴾43﴿

اِلٰى رَبِّكَ مُنۡتَهٰٮهَاؕ‏ ﴿۴۴﴾

Unto thy Lord belongeth (knowledge of) the term thereof. ﴾44﴿

اِنَّمَاۤ اَنۡتَ مُنۡذِرُ Ù…ÙŽÙ†Û¡ يَّخۡشٰٮهَاؕ‏ ﴿۴۵﴾

Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth it. ﴾45﴿

كَاَنَّهُمۡ ÙŠÙŽÙˆÛ¡Ù…ÙŽ يَرَوۡنَهَا Ù„ÙŽÙ…Û¡ يَلۡبَثُوۡۤا اِلَّا عَشِيَّةً اَوۡ ضُحٰٮهَا‏ ﴿۴۶﴾

On the day when they behold it, it will be as if they had but tarried for an evening or the morn thereof. ﴾46﴿
