سینہ دہک رہا ہو تو کیا چپ رہے کوئی

سلسلہ جنباں اک تنہا سے روح کسی تنہا کی تھی

شوق کا بار اتار آیا ہوں

شرمندگی ہے ہم کو بہت ہم ملے تمہیں

شام تھی اور برگ و گل شل تھے مگر صبا بھی تھی

شاخ امید جل گئی ہوگی

سر صحرا حباب بیچے ہیں

سارے رشتے تباہ کر آیا

سب چلے جاؤ مجھ میں تاب نہیں

روٹھا تھا تجھ سے یعنی خود اپنی خوشی سے میں

روح پیاسی کہاں سے آتی ہے

رنج ہے حالت سفر حال قیام رنج ہے

نام ہی کیا نشاں ہی کیا خواب و خیال ہو گئے

نہ تو دل کا نہ جاں کا دفتر ہے

نہ کوئی ہجر نہ کوئی وصال ہے شاید

نہ ہم رہے نہ وہ خوابوں کی زندگی ہی رہی

نہ ہوا نصیب قرار جاں ہوس قرار بھی اب نہیں

مجھ کو تو گر کے مرنا ہے

مسند غم پہ جچ رہا ہوں میں

مسکن ماہ و سال چھوڑ گیا

Poetry is a category of literature in which the writer (usually called a poet) expresses its deep feeling with intensive pattern of words.
