Surah Al-Baqara Ayat/verse 87 with Urdu & English Translation - 2:87

ÙˆÙŽ لَقَدۡ اٰتَيۡنَا مُوۡسَى الۡكِتٰبَ وَقَفَّيۡنَا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهٖ بِالرُّسُلِ‌ وَاٰتَيۡنَا عِيۡسَى ابۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ الۡبَيِّنٰتِ وَاَيَّدۡنٰهُ بِرُوۡحِ الۡقُدُسِ‌ؕ اَفَكُلَّمَا جَآءَكُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌۢ بِمَا لَا تَهۡوٰٓى اَنۡفُسُكُمُ اسۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡ‌ۚ فَفَرِيۡقًا كَذَّبۡتُمۡ وَفَرِيۡقًا تَقۡتُلُوۡنَ‏﴿۸۷﴾

اور ہم Ù†Û’ موسیٰ Ú©Ùˆ کتاب عنایت Ú©ÛŒ اور ان Ú©Û’ پیچھے یکے بعد دیگرے پیغمبر بھیجتے رہے اور عیسیٰ بن مریم Ú©Ùˆ Ú©Ú¾Ù„Û’ نشانات بخشے اور روح القدس (یعنی جبرئیل) سے ان Ú©Ùˆ مدد دی۔تو جب کوئی پیغمبر تمہارے پاس ایسی باتیں Ù„Û’ کر آئے، جن Ú©Ùˆ تمہارا جی نہیں چاہتا تھا، تو تم سرکش ہو جاتے رہے، اور ایک گروہ (انبیاء) Ú©Ùˆ تو جھٹلاتے رہے اور ایک گروہ Ú©Ùˆ قتل کرتے رہے﴿۸۷﴾

And verily We gave unto Moses the Scripture and We caused a train of messengers to follow after him, and We gave unto Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs (of Allah's sovereignty), and We supported him with the Holy spirit. Is it ever so, that, when there cometh unto you a messenger (from Allah) with that which ye yourselves desire not, ye grow arrogant, and some ye disbelieve and some ye slay?﴾87﴿
