Surah Humazah Tilawat, Translation, Benefits an Wazaif

Surah Al- Humazah has been present in juz 30. This is the 104th chapter of Quran-e-Pak and it has 9 verses. It consists of one Ruku only. It is the Meccan Surah. Al Humazah means The Traducer, The Slanderer.

 Brief Explanation

The word Humazah is derived from the very first verse of this Surah. The words Humaza and Lumaza have approximately the same meaning with a slight difference. Humazah means to tease someone with your actions and Lumaza means to make a joke of others with your words. It explains the sadness for those who make fun of people by their actions and words.

Surah Humazah also discusses the kind of people who kept on collecting wealth and did not want to spend even a single penny to help needy people. They believed that only wealth can save them from the life hereafter.  For such people, Allah Pak has announced severe punishments in this Surah.

Surah Al-Humazah is the only Surah which describes the hardest penalties for their records of deeds. It elaborates that their heart will be filled and their whole body will be covered completely with the never-ending fire. Because this is the fire of Allah, not an ordinary fire so they will never get escape from it.

Benefits of Surah Humazah

• Whoever reads this Surah in mandatory prayers will never be deprived of money. Sustenance will come to him frequently. He will not face an abrupt and scary death.
• This Surah also benefits to overcome the pain of the eyes. Recite this Surah Al-Humazah and blow before eyes.
• For having protection from evil eyes keep the talisman (Taveez) of Surah Al-Humazah around your neck.
• Our beloved Holy Prophet (SAW) said that whoever recites this Surah will be awarded ten times of deeds more than the number of misbelievers who were present in Mecca.

Wazifa of Surah Humazah:

To remain safe from the enemy’s oppression recites this Surah eleven times.
